Simmer and Justin need to work on their chemistry for sure. It will come.

It’s nice to hear Simmer without the reins on though. He certainly doesn’t mince words.

It wasn’t bad at all. A couple times maybe. Give them a break, first show an all. It was very good overall.
I tried tuning in to the morning show on 1200. Don’t need it. Turned it off after a couple minutes. I’ll be much happier listening to simmer and Justin now.
This show is a 1200 killer for me. Rip 1200.

Feel this. I used to be a religious listener of TSN1200, like all three shows the entire work day. My listenership started decreasing when Mendes left and I realized I didnt really like most of the talent left at the station. I liked Simmer though.

Now I just dont listen unless they get a good interview or the pregame, otherwise not worth it for me, not to mention nothing on air during most of my work day!

There’s a lot of fence sitting and soft, miquetoast takes between endless commercials.

Aside from AJ, they seem to constantly try to walk the line down the middle and argue both sides. Tired of hearing guys like Creech make excuses as well. It would be nice to have media hold the team accountable.

I liked the Simmer podcast. He just needs a strong personality to slow him down. He has lots of good points and takes, but his delivery is rapid fire and he's onto the next point before you've really had a chance to think about the thing he just said.

I agree Simmer just needs to let Murray talk a bit more, and Murray needs to assert himself more in the convo as Simmer tends to ramble on. But overall a good first impression. They will get better with time.

Agree. Rapid fire on Simmers part and talking over may be due to nervous energy for the first show.
They will find their way and Justin will contribute more. All new to him so there will be a learning curve!

Simmer's first outing was good in lots of ways. He's so comfortable as a presenter that it has a broken-in feel already. Justin will get more relaxed with time. He has to stop the eye darting thing though - super distracting. I will be watching/listening, but I am always wary of a Simpson opinion as it seems he'd rather be fast and controversial than right.

Coming in Hot is my main Sens podcast squeeze.

I'd be impressed with his 'troll game' if I wasn't so sure that he honestly believes most of it. I think the success of the 'Swiss water' tweet may have sent him down a dark path.

oh boy... two mins into what was today, his 4th podcast? And he's already getting into "needs a meeting from HR" territory thanks to his "humour"

I like Justin Murray better than simmer on that show. He needs more time to speak. Simmer was talking about drinking coffee again and yeah…I guess coffee really does work. The guy is totally revved up.

Lee Versage will be on with him tomorrow btw filling in for Justin.

Lee might do a better job reining Simmer in.

He needs someone who can tell him when to go and when to pause.

Just looked at the transcript. And while it's not meeting with HR territory, it's just pathetic.

Simpson clearly doesn't understand where his value lies. He's an insider with takes based upon being around the game for decades. He's not a guy we want to hear sex talk from. Be more Bob McKenzie and less Biz.

Simmer is so jacked to be able to talk hockey, he's hardly breathing, just takes, takes, takes. lol

I really enjoyed the Simmer, Versage and Mendes from yesterday. I wouldn't be surprised to see them do it regularly.

Some of Simmer's monologues are cringworthy and offside and I'm sure he'll get that out of his system quick.

We are super lucky to have very good podcats content. (CIH, LOS and now Simmer.)

I can definitely do without the over the top LOS podcast. They are like the Bruce Garrioch of Podcasts. Someone from that group actually came in and promoted their show in Simmer's chat.
The Senstennial Podcast is better , low key , not all the hype, good conversation on specific issues.

A new Pierre McGuire , Jimmy Murphy Podcast is coming Monday, Wednesday, Friday 1-1:45 p.m. ET. I will check that out this week

On, LOS - I was the same but they grew on me. I like it when they have Meth on.
