In one sense Podcasting this team right now must be a nightmare with a 7 year abscess on the fanbase and the team providing no optimism, hope or good vibes. Must be hard to grow and keep ears and eyes when the fanbase is checking out in early November

On the flip side you could just dust off any script from the last 7 years, or even just change the date on your podcast and run it back so you don’t have to actually do the work - it’s the same story over and over and over and over and over again.

It’s like these poor guys own a restaurant but They can only serve the same 2 dishes over and over again, they got cakes and soups and pies ready to serve but every night these guys are serving up the cold leftovers

Shoutout to the podcast crew, can’t be fun right now, but we appreciate you guys
 
I need help. There is no way to bring up subtitles. I can read french...but I loose too much hearing it.
 
How soft the Ottawa Sens media is, now we have Dean Brown and Marc Mehtot lecturing the fans about how to react.

I just listened to a Dran Brown interview and 7 years later this guy has ever said a critical word of Brady Tkachuk, he spends the interview talking down the fan reaction, and now this stupid 6th/7tj Dman talk - GET LOST, this team has sucked for so long and we’re seeing it again and the analyst reaction is “the fans of Ottawa are crazy, we get it, but honestly, just a bunch of irrational fans who don’t see this team is trying”

Enough guys, someone in the media say Brady Tkachuk is soft mentally and doesn’t commit on the ice and I’ll take you seriously - or you can just say the fans are crazy for saying that which is exactly what they will do because they soft

Did find it interesting last week
After Ullmark gave his “I don’t know” interview and the fanbase was sour from a loss fhe entire media and blogosphere unanimously and all at the same time changed their tweets and media hits to Hamonic/JBD. It seemed planed, like to distract from a growinlgly negative weekend of stories.

Anyways, probably a Sens media strategy to have a better controlled media and control the dialogue to keep things positive when things seems to circling the drain, something to keep an eye on. We know large parts of our media will say whatever the team wants them to say, but felt weird the entire Sens media all turned their attention to 1 subject at the same time.

Chabot's numbers improved with Jensen , some love for Jensen

Time to hear from Granpa Dave Poulin. With morale this high, hearing Poulin explain why Ottawa is so great would be like a “where were you 1 year ago” frustrated Sens fans and a hopefull Dave Poulin coming in off the radio, he always liked the core, I want to hear Dave Poulin brag if he’s capable of that.

Let’s just get all the good Sens things out now and admire what we got - been a long time since we’ve had the tie of stability and dominance to those out Alfie teams, let’s enjoy this and the talent that’s worked it’s magic
 
Dany Heatley was on Missing Curfew, I’m only a few minutes into it, but I’m guessing there’s going to be some good stories. He’s never done a podcast prior to this I believe.

Ya was good interview, really liked Ottawa.
Said he’ll be in town in December for something, but didn’t elaborate, maybe Andlauer bringing him back to see a game?

At this point I’m hoping the Sens win for the media that covers the team, feel sorry they have to beat this poor dead horse over and over and over again, and our poor ears having to listen to the same people say the same shit over and over and over again.

No wonder there’s been so much media turnover in Ottawa the last 3-4 years, nobody can take the same voice repeating the same sorry story for more than 2-3 years. You gotta change it up, new voice if the story doesn’t change.

Losing like this is so boring, no draft picks to get excited for, nothing in the system to wait for, the games aren’t fun obviously, the players that are fun to watch like Batherson and Sandy arent performing, the coaches head looks like it’s going to explode, the GM literally said yesterday “this is it boys, this is your team, there’s no big answer out there to solve this, we’re living and dying with this same old script.”

Behind the story and have the softest takes in Canada, their hockey coverage is Uninspired and boring.

Unreal they are this far in and Ron Maclean is still holding it all together for them - lucky for them he didn’t run to the states.

Mike Amato (no relation to the famous fruit “Tomato”) has never watched a Sens game in the last 7 years I can guarantee you that with takes like this - it’s worse then lazy because it’s completely entitled and not researched

Horrible take, this guy is an idiot and has zero sense what Ottawa is, was or is going to be “and the team doesn’t look any different under this new regime, as many of the same problems continue to plague them.”

Rick Westhead should not be allowed to publish during the holiday season, just save all this fresh hell for 2025 after our hangovers are done and we’re ready for the bleak winter
