Nice game from Highmore. Everything you can ask from a callup.
Yea we are, but need our GF/GP to be way better. PP needs to do more than waste 2 min on the clock..962 never lies

Also I think we are back to 6th in the entire league in GA/GP
Yes, Matinplano played well and will likely get better as he gains more NHL experience. He could be our 3RD next season or 7th D if Yak makes the jump or we pick up a decent RD via trade or UFA signing.Big difference in the Senators defensive play from the way they were playing in November. There’s still some lapses, but overall there’s more structure and good team D.
Matinpalo isn’t flashy but plays a quiet, steady game and has filled in nicely. Could be good to keep him around as the #6.
It’s nice that Forsberg got the Win. He had a decent game.
Ottawa must address their forward lines.
They must.
We could easily sink just as fast as we rose.
If we didn't have great goaltending we could easily be 1-5 and we'd be pumping the 2025 draft thread instead.
This is a serious concern. I almost barfed a little seeing Highmore get a couple shifts on top 6. He's been excellent in his stint, but to go from 3rd-4th call-up option to top 6 shifts... says something.
They had 5 wins and 9 losses in November. Not sure how that is considered great.I know this idea is foreign to us Sens fans but they had a great October and November.
Gaudette struggled with controlling the puck on unit 2. I’d be tempted to have Stu play the full 2 minutes in a low PP game.I don't expect to run rampant on the road against a team that was raring to go after a disappointing loss, especially since we were playing less than 24 hours before.
But that's when the PP really needs to generate some modicum of offence.

Perron is going to feel like a deadline addWe really do need Perron for PP2. Badly.

What a game by zub
5 blocked shots, big goal and almost 22mins
Meh. I prefer Hamonic as Sanderson's partner.
