But Stoll plays a defensive role. Lets say you get your way and Stoll goes to Manchester in exchange for Richards. You suddenly are expecting a rookie or Mike Richards to assume the heavy lifting that Stoll does defensively?

I am no huge Stoll fan, people used to say I was biased against him, but there is no way Sutter is going to give his role to either a rookie or a guy they just sent to the minors because he as Sutter said "Wasn't in the mood to check"

You try and get a Defensive Center like McClement at the deadline for a 4th round pick.

It pushes Stoll into a 4th line roll where he belongs.

This is turning into quite the game

Did the Sens earn a little bit of respect? You guys weren't very nice to them pre-game ;)

They've been real competitive so far. But even if they were the Sabres I wouldn't say we're definitely going to beat them. I think we've lost to plenty of teams we've been heavy favorites to beat this year.

I find Stoll's game to be highly offensive.

Stoll is not the defensive dynamo he was 2 years ago.

Stoll is clearly not the player he was and is likely on his way out.

But have you forgotten how awful Mike Richards looked defensively in a fourth line role? You would want that player back and promote him to a key defensive role? I just don't get it.

He put the puck up the wall flat and softly after passing up on two golden opportunities to pass to a stick. A guy like greene should be going glass and out if he's going to make the "safe" play

I think you need to watch the replay again. He went behind the net and Muzzin and Carter both went to the middle of the ice with a sens player between him and both guys. You could knock him maybe for not ringing it harder but what the **** were Carter and Muzzin doing? Eating pop tarts?

time to ship Greene and Stoll back to Edmonton

thanks Edmonton for lending them to us for such a long time, we appreciate it

now can you lend us Eberle and Petry? thanks

Ill take draft picks and be happy with the cap space to re-sign RR, AS, TP and TT

In all the games Ive watched recently Sutter has used Kopitar, Gaborik, Carter, King, Toffoli, Williams in the last minutes of the game. Carter is 54% in the circle, Stoll 52%, Kopi 51.5%... Those two guys are just as capable.

Jay McClement is 55.5%. He's +1 with 16pts on a terrible Carolina team where his wingers are horrendous. He's a beast on the PK. Pick him up for cheap, Ill take him over Stoll

Sekera is 6'? Why does he look like a midget compared to PON and Odie?

I was thinking the same thing. Two nights ago Nick Shore was out there being interviewed post-game and looked like a little kid sitting at the grown up table at Thanksgiving. Either Patrick O'Neal and O'Donnell are giants or someone's pulling the lower-the-guest's-stool power move.

You guys had a goal disallowed and we hit two posts. How should you guys be winning?

A post means it didn't go in. It's like having sex with jeans on. You didn't have sex. You came close but the hills aren't alive with the sound of music.

I am ok for "upgrading" Stoll, it would be nice to have a third line center with some offensive skill who could maintain Stoll's solid defensive and physical play.

Right now that upgrade is not in house, so it would have to be by trade.
