I cant with the morale victories anymore

Been 7 years, my patience is running low

We aren't winning anything this year. The players need the coaching they are getting now and it won't be an overnight fix so .. just saying we may want to applaud improvements in how they play , win or lose ... and hope the wins will come.

The issues with the way they had been playing are numerous

People need to understand how badly coached this team was. This year is finished. It's gonna take martin the rest of the year to break the habits that were allowed to root.

I’m actually on board with moral victories now.

The season is over.

It’s no longer about wins and losses it’s about improvement and finding out who is a real player the sens can move forward with.

PK was absolute trash but they played much better, particularly in the second.

I’m looking forward to seeing how they will look in March.

Playing better is nice. The script is the same though, mental mistakes. They basically play like a traumatized team that thinks they are going to lose somehow. So they inevitably find a way to. It's going to take some serious work for them find a way through that.

Best in class team therapist might be the next hire. Maybe mix one in for the traumatized fans as well.

Started poorly, recovered very well but fumbled the end (I think the challenge was close enough that it was worth trying), not too shabby considering the chasm between Colorado and ourselves.

We still suck but hey, that wasn't going to change this season. Need to perform roster surgery to stop sucking.

Can be. I think this team is capable of playing really good hockey. We’ve seen it stretches it’s just when they aren’t playing well, they are really bad. I don’t think it’s that DJ wasn’t capable of teaching, I can get on board that the message was wrong.

I feel you, my guy. The Ottawa Senators are the only sports team I truly care about. It sucks a lot, but the Senators have a lot of good going for them, and this thing can become something special. It's not like we have absolutely nothing and are going to a start from scratch and rebuild. This season is done; it stinks, but that is the fact. We will have a decent pick, and we can either draft a player or use that pick to acquire one. Tarasenko will likely bring something decent back by the deadline. We will have extra cap space, we will have Pinto back, and next season we will have a new coach. There is lots of good, and this season may actually help us become a better team.

They have been very irresponsible and undisciplined and sometimes things worked and they had some success but it was not sustainable because of their lack of attention to details and apparent lack of any defensive mindset... the poor habits led to this lack of confidence to withstand any kind of adversity. They needed a coaching change,

GF says she cant really relate to the Sens anymore, says she misses the Alfie, Nealer, Karlsson etc.

Hopefully we get to experience all of this again someday

Will come down to how the core players deal with this adversity. Do they keep folding and being a mentally weak group? Or finally build an identity and work through their issues.

They have to start somewhere, it's too bad they let this streak spiral and blew the season so early again. Not going to get a chance to play any "meaningful games" for another 10 months.
