No doubt Thornton is old. I don't think there was anybody not surprised by his use on the first line to start the season. I am surprised he hasn't been rested more. Spezza is a perfect example of how a vet can thrive with lower ice time, albeit he is obviously younger and faster than Thornton. I do think Thornton has a place with low minutes and some 2nd unit PP time. It's not just that he's slow, he hasn't been sharp with accepting passes or corralling loose pucks lately. He will be valuable as depth in the playoffs, injuries will happen, we just can't burn him out before we get there. (this is an insane schedule for any player, let alone a 41 year old)

That would either be a sign of lack of options to replace him or a sign that the team wants to show some respect for Jumbo. I would agree with the passing part, its like he is not thinking the game at a NHL level, which happens as you age, your cognitive abilities slows. Watch tonight, he is usually one step behind intercepting a pass, or one step behind on the forecheck, or he passes the puck to players that are not there. With that said I think (hope) Jumbo in a short series could show some of that Big Joe magic.

If Galch looks good with M&M that will make it easier for the Leafs to find line options for a potential top 6 forward acquisition. We know Hyman can fit anywhere, if Galch can fit on the top line even better.

I've tried a few scotches but definitely not that one. I looked it up... Jesus I better win the lottery. Maybe on a special occasion sometime. Sounds good though.

For some reason, this reminded me of the incredible, late great. totally awesome and forever immortal Richard Pryor talking about the time he went to a casino in Vegas, stripped off all his clothes, jumped up on the card table and yelled out - Blackjack! :laugh::laugh:

Sadly I am being forced to take a drinking break :( Have my rum next to me ready to go for HNIC, but after getting into some last night

I woke up feeling sick and started puking blood. Spent most of the day at the hospital getting all sorts of tests and shit and am now on some medications and being forced to take a break. When I was much younger I could tank it like a champ, but I am being reminded that I am no longer in my youth. Stay safe everyone but enjoy some for me please.

Hope you're alright. To be honest I'm no doctor but sounds like an ulcer maybe. Sure it'll be all good.

Well, enjoying this Masters right now but time to throw on the Leafs jersey.

Expecting a loss because Sens always play us hard, and Campbell with a chance for an all time NHL record wearing a Leafs jersey? No way, can't happen.

Good thing I'm always wrong.

Question though, what if it goes to overtime? What does that mean as far as all-time if Campbell is then 10-0-1?
