That plus is supposed to be what exactly?
$5M is not team friendlyBatherson's signed to a pretty team friendly deal. I don't think the Sens should be adding anything. I'd probably do it as a one for one trade.

For a guy who racked up 68 points it's extremely team friendly.$5M is not team friendly
Yes it is. Batherson is a really solid player and thats a good contract. I'd love it if the Sabres landed him, but I wouldn't move Peterka for him.$5M is not team friendly
Batherson + 21st for Peterka + 39th?
Not that the Sabres need any more 1sts, but good trade fodder if they don't want to trade the 9th OVR for immediate help.
It's amazing. What are you talking about lol$5M is not team friendly

Because they want him on their team, they've heard whispers he might be available, and they think the Sabres are run by idiots. Why does everyone seem to think the Sabres should trade Peterka.
I mean, to be fair they've got a point there...Because they want him on their team, they've heard whispers he might be available, and they think the Sabres are run by idiots.
What more could a fantasy GM want?
Ottawa has to forfeit a 1st. Unsure if this yrs one they decide to forfeit vs a pick in 26.Drake Batherson
Shane Pinto
25 1st
JJ Peterka
Jack Quinn

I dunno if I even like that trade... just bored and hate everything about my team.
I don't think this is very appealing to Ottawa.Drake Batherson

Already been decided, they will forfeit next years unless Bettman mans up and respects the precedent he set with the Devils' Kovalchuk punishment and the "new ownership" reasoning for lowering itOttawa has to forfeit a 1st. Unsure if this yrs one they decide to forfeit vs a pick in 26.
Exactly. Only makes sense if it's for someone outside Ottawa's top 6, like for futures, which Sabres fans would likely lose their minds over. If JJP really does want out, and has his wish granted, little chance that Sabres fans will be happy regardless of the returnSend are clearly on the upswing. Sabres are needing change to their core. This trade seems fair, but why would Ottawa change what they’re building?
As much as I'd love Peterka, it has to be practical. Likewise, I don't think Peterka's style is very fit for the playoffs. He's essentially a slower Ehlers, and we all know how much Ehlers has historically struggled in the playoffs.
