I hope I don’t jinx it but MacK is having a strong game. A lot of great saves. He looks dialed in!

It's kinda funny how the one coach wouldn't ever change his lines no matter what happens while the other coach now keeps on throwing lines into the blender for no particular reason game after game.

If Mews quietly says, "I want to go," then by all means. We should get a nice return for him that may net us a younger D or at least give us some pieces. It should not change his status with Calgary as per the signing. The NHL has not had a chance to act on that, and with the CBA being the main focus, I do not expect much other than, for the time being, they go with where you were when you are drafted.

Mayich should go if we can move him and get a reasonable return so that he has the chance.

Pinelli, I am actually surprised that we have not heard anything. I really did not see him wearing barber poles again.

The deadline for OA is soon and should give us an idea.

The 3 teams I am watching are Ottawa, Niagara, and Kingston. It should be an interesting week. If I remember a lot of players, do not get a lot of sleep, LOL

Not sure what Brampton started with for picks, but they gave up 6 in 2 trades, one of them to get a goalie to help Ivanhovic. I'm still not sure with the suspensions and injuries Ivan has had tht Leenders might not have been safe to keep, but Oh well, it is done.

The 2 main dominoes are Pinelli and Musty unless the American teams turn out to be sellers.

Ughh what about Jett? Hes going to get likely the biggest return of them all.

Agree. Pinelli and musty are great but Pinelli isn’t luchankos level and also Luchanko being 18 can come back next year potentially.

Musty is phenomenal player but again rumours about not being great in locker room I have heard multiple times and also hurt now-plus 19. Here’s a hot take- Pinelli gets more than musty.

Luchanko isn’t as impactful as Pinelli at the OHL level RIGHT NOW. Luchanko is by far the better pro prospect. Luchanko is that prototypical 2nd line centre on the Championship calibre team. But, you gotta score goals in the playoffs and Pinelli can do that. Luchanko will help keep them out of your net.

There has been no talk of a Luchanko deal out there. I am not 100% sold he will be moved. We know Pinelli has had rumours including to Barrie in a deal for Vaughn (Vaughn currently not waiving his NTC). Vaughn is the biggest trade piece out there so if a deal involving Pinelli is there for Vaughn, that alone suggests Pinelli is the main forward being sought after.

You think only Pinelli is getting the Vaughan offers?

Supposedly, the first one was Romani and OVS but a certain Kingston poster says their information states there was never any discussion about it. That contradicts what OHL4Life says so since I trust both posters, it is hard to tell which is accurate. Multiple reports have come out about Pinelli to Barrie. They don’t’ have the pieces to make that work without Vaughn.

Additionally, there are also rumblings about Pinelli and Gibson holding up all the trade traffic. Most of the contending teams are jockeying for those two guys. Until they are off the table, the other players won’t likely move.

Again, there hasn’t been even a whisper about Luchanko. I assume they will move him but they may very well be reasonably certain he returns next season. If so, there is no reason to move him. Same goes for Mews. No whispers at all. Again, that doesn’t mean there is no discussion, jsut the discussion is not leaking anywhere.

Nothing on Musty at all either. The combination of his current injury plus Papineau being difficult to do deals with makes Musty a harder target. I think Sudbury is trying to actually buy, not sell.

Seems Gibson is off the table going to Oshawa if we are to believe the scuttlebutt. And, it looks like Barrie will be working on Vaughn this weekend. I imagine they will meet with the family and agent on Sunday and present the landscape for the player and allow the family to make a decision on stay or go. That will likely be resolved on Monday. The 67’s will move to another team (maybe Kitchener as AGranderson has stated) where Headrick is their 1st round ‘08. They may have Valentini reporting next year so it is likely they find Headrick expendable in a run for this year.

The rumour about that Romani trade was me that posted about it. Was just asking OHL4Life on Twitter about it before he deleted his account and scoops and another account stole my tweet I forget the guys name and started claiming it as their own when I was originally just asking about it

Then I saw they were tweeting about it and assumed I was right so I posted the speculated trade. Turns out I was wrong lol and the other 2 accounts exposed themselves as being frauds doing nothing more than copying off of others(the whole reason OHL4Life deleted his Twitter)

Gibson and oshawa has always made more sense than some of these other teams like Kingston who will be unwilling to part with Hopkins and besides him only has picks as trading chips.

Remember about Allen and London? 0 whispers about that. I have a feeling it’ll be a similar situation with Luchanko. Kingston, Barrie, London, Oshawa, potentially Kitchener would be the places I could see him most likely going but again- purely speculation

If Luchanko goes, it is most likely going to include a high ceiling ‘07 or a decent ‘08. Kingston would need to move Hopkins. No doubt about it. And, I don’t think that is a good move for Kingston.

Luchanko is probably most needed by Brampton but they don’t have an ‘08. I don’t think Witkowski + Dragusica can get that done. Barrie doesn’t need him. London could use him but Hawery isn’t moving. Moore didn’t report, Medvedev isn’t moving. Arrowsmith isn’t going to move the needle. Oshawa won’t have the assets. Brantford makes sense if they feel he is a two year player. O’Donnell would be the main piece. Although, I think if any of the rumours with Malhotra are to be believed, the rights to Malhotra may move that needle quite a bit. Malhotra ending up in Guelph makes a lot of sense. So, Brantford is my main destination if they can work out the MAlhotra issue.
