The last thing Brampton needs is Guerrior. LeFebvre is exactly the type of player needed, at least until Allard, maybe Swick is available; excellent stop-gap imo.

Yes. Allard is the guy IMO. That gets Misa to the wing. When Karmiris is back, they can have Allard, JVV and Karmiris down the middle. They also have MacDonnell to sub in at centre for injuries when he is back in the lineup. Misa can stay on the wing where he is more effective.

I think Allard will add that leadership too. I also think that Gibson helps Brampton as well. I think those two are the same needs that Kingston has.

If there were a way they could snag Luchanko, that would be killer. I’m not sure they have the pieces to make that work unless they get creative and use Karmiris in the deal. That may be something Guelph would like to be honest. Luchanko is not a guarantee to return next season. Karmiris is likley an OA candidate. Guelph would likely get two years out of Karmiris.

I don't see Brampton enough to know much about their team needs. I do know Lefebvre though and imo both Stoney and Gerrior are superior players . I suspect OMG is right however and they will upgrade. They've put too many chips on the table not to.

I think that is only a stop gap solution through the deadline like is last year with Lawrence.

There should be a shuffle at the deadline. We will see how that all shakes down.
Hope you're right it would be nice to get assets for one of our four quality OA. Tough market this year. Hopefully the last effects of covid on the league.

No Horner. Is he suspended after the slew foot last night?

Korbler elevated to line #2. Must be the result of his stellar play last night. I like it when players are rewarded for their hard work and execution.

4-2 Windsor after 2. Our penalty kill is a dumpster fire and Mac continues to look just ok which is not good enough for us to win (or spend the OA spot on him, or have anyone else be interested in acquiring him).

I mean MacKenzie has to stop that one...but it looked like a bs call to me. I think he high sticked himself accidentally. I could be wrong but from what I saw I don't think that was Dietsch's stick.

We gave a pretty good impression of a lousy hockey team today. The combination of a putrid PK and taking dumb penalties (some from the team’s leadership group!) is just such a recipe for disaster.

Yeah. At even strength they were actually pretty good but discipline was a huge problem. I failed to see a learning effect either. Windsor scored on every PP opportunity but the 67's still just kept on taking penalties:facepalm:
Some of the penalties were bs calls but most of them were not. You can't behave like this if you wanna win games.

Also, the kids line was buzzing. I think they should all play Center but if you use them as a line then at least play them properly. They even scored a goal in limited playing time.

Do you think that the team will still be buyers? It seems odd for a 7-8th place team to be trading picks and/or young players.

How many shifts did Amidovski and Whitehead get?

I think depending on that there may be requests from the kids to be traded after Xmas.

They may not get a lot of minutes on another team, but they will definitely develop more.

I still do not understand EKBERG ON the 4th line. Can someone explain what the hell is going on? I would wonder if his agent is not going to be asking the same questions as Amidovski and if at Xmas could say he is homesick. What happens if he decides he wants to stay in Europe?

This weekend has seen lines that are balanced 2nd through 4th. Dever playing with Yanni and Korbler? Dever is the 2nd line centre. He should be playing with the best wingers remaining. At least try to put out two lines that can push hard.

Honestly, that was the 2nd line. It was the line that had two of the better players on it.

This may seem strange but is the first line a showcase line for trades?

I am really confused by his lines and the order in which he arranges them. So, instead of asking about lines, I find that I have to ask about shifts and TOI.

I would have thought, and maybe it is because I am old and have been away from on-ice products for a while, that this team would be developing a second line that can take the place of the first if they are sold.

I think it will be interesting to see who or what DC does with Cowan tomorrow.

Too much crap going on.

First, they are out of town on a 3 in 3. So, DC likely feels he needs to roll 4 lines. So, he decided to balance them. Second, he cannot get consistent lines because of the OA situation. So, today, we will probably see Gerrior placed beside Dever and it becomes a real 2nd line.

In some respects, I don’t have an issue with Whitehead playing with Ekberg and Amidovski. If the line can gain some chemistry, they can play the next two seasons together. Perhaps that is what DC is trying to do? Barlas playing centre with Houben and Kelly seems like a line of misfits in some respects. It is sort of the line of left overs.

We know Korbler will sub in for Pinelli on line one once he is traded. It is just a matter of time. He will get his goals vs Peterborough and North Bay when we play the bottom feeders. He’ll chip in a few 2nd assists. But, he will work hard I guess. Next year he will be named Captain. Hooray!

Poor goaltending, a couple of dumb penalties by vets to give the Spits a 5 on 3 put the game out of reach for a lower placed team like 67s. Not that we would of tied it up but this for sure put an end to any hope. We basically doubled them in penalty minutes and you do not want to do this against a high powered offence like the Spits have.

Any chance of competing and making this a game has to be done 5 on 5 as much as possible. Goaltending has not been great even on basic routine saves. Not a recipe to achieve success.
