Great news! You need a bit of luck sometimes in players for some reason sliding to you. We appear to be stacking up talent for many years. Might induce some of the american kids/ncaa commits to come over the next few years..swankler/ambrosio/peterson etc... players all things being equal like to be in a winning program.

As per 67's website apparently Yanic Crete also signed. So 5 of our first seven picks are in the bag. If ever Ambrosio, Bradley and Peterson show up, could be a draft for the ages.

Andree was fantastic in net tonight for you guys. Really athletic goalie, maybe a late bloomer type.

Ottawa clearly came into the game wanting to teach their young players how to play a smart road game. Even though the Wolves held a territorial advantage virtually for the whole game, Ottawa had great defensive zone coverage and most of the Wolves shots were from the perimeter. Ottawa sat 6 of their top players compared to Sudbury's one. It was a teaching moment for Ottawa as their coaching staff was very active with the players on the bench. They were engaging Lucas Peric quite often. Despite the high shot total, I found the game to be very tight which is expected for opening night. The few times that Ottawa did have defensive zone breakdowns, Andree was extremely focused. Good goalie!

Encouraging comments from the opposing fans about Andree, but I'll reserve judgement for quite a while. He did not show much last year but in fairness played~5 games? Would be nice if he held the fort until we acquire someone.
