  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
If you guys can get a real top line LW the forward group looks legit, but otherwise yikes on this move.

Eklund-Cozens-Zetterlund
Greig-Pinto-Giroux
Foegele-?-Amadio
I suspect Green will put either Greig on the wing or Pinto at center and move Cozens to the wing. If they don't acquire another top 6 winger, I think it'll be Giroux unless Zetterlund has a lot of chemistry with Eklund. Green had him on the 4th line a lot as he just wasn't working out in the top 9.

Halttunen always reminded me of Frank Vatrano's shot, but with absolutely no other tools lol
The problem I have with Halttunen is that he has a great shot but can’t get it off. He has two things going for him, which are his shot and his size/physcality. But if he can’t actually get his shot off, then there’s nothing he really brings to the table. The defense and puck management aren’t good enough to give him a clear-cut role on the fourth line. So he’s basically a lite version of this year’s Patrik Laine if, and it’s still a remote chance, he even hits that upside.

Im here til Thursday. Try the veal! G'night folks!

Eklund is a 7th overall pick and he's already has over 200 NHL games so that even better then 9th! and he's only 23 still improving his game
It’s interesting how when Eklund was a Shark, everyone said he had reached his ceiling. Now that he’s not a Shark, he’s only 23 and still improving!

He had a decent rookie season in the A, if he can work on his skating there might be something there. Project sure, but there is more than 4th line upside.
If he does the thing he’s being trying and failing to do for years, maybe he has a remote shot at being a third liner, sure.
