I think the trade confirmed that Norris didn’t really have any value on the market..

More sandpaper with Cozens, a former 7th overall pick. Has great upside and less injury prone compared to Norris. The Norris contract had the potential to come back and haunt you!
Overall not a bad trade!

I don’t hate but I don’t love it as of now. Younger player, makes a bit less, ex-Sabre factor, less injury prone.

Not sure I like disrupting the team like this mid-season, especially with how close Norris is to Chabot and Brady.

I don't love this. Cozens is certainly the more durable player so far in their career but I prefer Norris's defensive play and it's nice luxury to have a good LHC on faceoffs.

It is too bad but this better not seriously make Brady angry at management.

Staios and Poulin have turned things around for this franchise, while I'm not super happy about this, I trust their judgement. I hope it works out!

There is nothing issued to officially confirm the trade at this time. Just Garrioch and perhaps other talking heads.

I've never liked Cozens so this is just an awful trade IMO.

I love Norris but if he was going to be traded I’m glad it was for another young forward with upside. His underlying numbers a few years ago looked really good, but I haven’t paid too much attention to him so I guess we’ll see him in Ottawa.

I was really expecting Norris to be moved in the summer as opposed to now so hopefully this doesn’t rattle everyone too much.

Very surprised they did this trade while we are fighting for a playoff spot. Saying this, Cozen is younger and a little cheaper than Norris (we needed cap space), has potential to keep improving and is signed for years to come and he doesn't have the injury history Norris has. As mentioned by others, Brady best buddy gone might piss him off. He was already clearly not happy with the US anthem booing, did he already asked to be traded or not, only Staios knows, but this might just be the start of a bigger shake up of the core ... not saying this is what I want, but it could be. Let's see if more moves get done today.

Nothing against Norris, he's a good player... But he's not an ideal center (no hands whatsoever), slightly overpaid at 8M/year and we all know about the shoulder issues.

It's a good trade. While he's far from being an all-star himself, Cozens has immense potential and is much more of what you'd want in a top 6 pivot.
