That's the kind of petty stuff I love to see. Are you able to post a link to the Athletic article. I tried searching his name but nothing came up.

Edmonton drafted the greatest British player of all time, Tony Hand, in the 12th round, so that Calgary wouldn't get him after they had invited him to camp.

Did I read the right?
The sens drafted him twice? After he didn’t sign an entry deal the first time?
lol
Read the room
They did it to spite him. The Athletic wrote a decent story on it a while back
One of the most ridiculous stories I’ve heard about in pro sports.

Drafted him in the first in 98 and lowballed him because as the Sens said “well we actually think you should have gone in the 2nd round”

they draft him again in 2000, lowball him again and this time say “well we think you should have gone in the 3rd round”

You can’t make this stuff up

Forsberg with the shutout.

Looks like Korpisalo was expendable after all.
Gaudette with the GWG too (along with having the 2nd most goals on the Sens so far this season)

Looks like Kastelic was also expendable as our 4C.

Linus hasn't turned the world on fire yet and kastelic has that just alone has the Bruins winning the trade and dont forget Sens are paying part of korpi salary here to being here. Dean Leternaeu pick is a guess but will find out .
These last two pages are the funniest two pages on HF that I've ever read. This TDG fella is hilarious.

I feel like this will be entertaining:
With 7 points in 12 games, Kastelic has the Bruins "winning the trade". Linus has not "turned the world on fire". In an attempt to follow your logic, a 4th liner with 7 in 12 wins the trade over a goalie with fair (but not great) numbers? I wonder how soon we see Swayman in an Ottawa uni (ignoring cap implications). You'll love Gaudette. You'll have to add a pick of course because, let's be honest, we should really be calling Bowman to do a 1 for 1 swap for Connor assuming they add a second.

Gaudette wasnt part of the trade.? It says linus for korpisalo 1st round pick 6 foot 7 prospect dean leternaeu and mark kastelic. Kastelic 7 points in 12 games. Korpi last 2 full games has let in only 1 goal and got a impressive shut out yesterday. These are the facts.
Forsberg has 2 shutouts now. We’ll give you him for Swayman (who hasn’t been playing very well). You’ll have to retain on Swayman though to offset the salaries. You know, since sample sizes mean nothing to you.
