I wasn’t alive for 1988 but this is way more satisfying than 2020. Let’s run it back. That Yankees meltdown in the 5th inning is something that will haunt you for years.

I was 13 and I remember guys at football practice betting on the As. I was the only Dodgers fan. The Gibson HR is one of my favorite sports fan moments and I stayed up late watching that game.

1988 was awesome because no one expected it.

The 1987 Dodgers were bad, didn't make the playoffs and were 17 games back of the division leading Gnats.

Even though the Dodgers had done the impossible against the Mets, I expected The A's to crush the Dodgers.

And Vin had the perfect call "In a year that has been so improbable, the impossible has happened"

I think '81 will always be my favorite because I finally got to see a World Series Championship after having my heart crushed in '77 and ''78. To analogize it'll forever be like 2012.

This one will always be special though. Coming back against the Fraudres, The Seesaw series with the Mets and exorcising the demon that is Grimace and now we have Freddie's legendary walk off

I gotta say Today is a Good Day!

I'll admit, I was pretty skeptical during the Pads series, but my hats off to the Dodgers. Taking advantage of those awful Yankee errors was a thing of beauty in the 5th. Lots of great players doing great things this October with Freeman being all world and all class. I love how he just wanted to talk about how teammates during his MVP speech.

I heard somewhere that Doc had been given more control of in game decisions than years past. Anyone have a source on that? Whatever happened, they had the right formula this season and expected to be an even stronger team next season.
