Starting pitchers only going four or five innings is going to kill the bullpen.

Dodgers are going to have to win a lot of slow pitch softball type games if the starters don't improve.
The starting pitching is a mystery right now but the back end has been solid lately. I look around the league, not a single 100 game winner for the first time in a while. Should be interesting.

It's crazy to think in the 80's and 90's pitchers were going 8 plus innings, then the reliever goes in to finish off the 9th. Giving up 5 or 6 runs through 8 was pretty much the norm and throwing 120 or more was the same. Babe Ruth pitched 14 innings to win the world series in 1916 and ate 11 hotdogs too.

Eventually there won't really be a starter. Every game will effectively be a bullpen game.

Dodger Stadium North invasion is more genuine than Levi’s Stadium South invasion. Most of the Niner fans that attend games at Sofi are locals and wear Lakers and Dodgers gear when not watching football. Dodger fans that invade Oracle are travelling fans from LA.
Speaking of LA 49er fans, f*** you.

I can barely watch baseball anymore due to everything being about analytics. Yanking pitchers after two times through the rotation breeds guys that can't get out of a jam when needed to. Situational hitting seems to be gone too. You don't have a few guys in the lineup that can hit singles with runners in scoring position because everyone is trained for exit velocity and home runs. I mean chicks do dig the long ball, lol. Maybe I am just getting older and bitter.

just incredible to not bunt there

roberts starting the playoff choke early this year
Hard to bunt when you're never asked to do it and when Suarez is throwing 98-100.

Rojas squared on the first pitch and took for a strike. Machado was playing in and close to the bag. Made it relatively easy for him to tag the bag (ball was hit hard) and go around the horn. Another factor that might have come into play is that Rojas has been one of the Dodgers' best hitters with RISP.

Better result tonight (obviously). Shohei is delivering with RISP whereas he wasn't early in the year. Another strong game from the pen. Nine shutout innings the last two nights.
