Please, let's see him play some NHL hockey first. I went to 4 DU games this year and while he's certainly better than almost any opponent, he's not exactly playing an NHL game out there. When you can skate around any player you get lots of time and space to make plays. He's going to have no such luxury at this level. And the D effort was only so so as well, something Cale had to learn about early on.

Let's see how fast he comes along with all these musts first before calling him a Calder favorite or an Adam Fox challenger.

Russ was good.

Joker was actually okay but could not hit a free throw to save his life.

Porter couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn. Actually got chopped in the face and bled afterwards, somehow that wasn’t a foul.

Murray was huge when it mattered most. Really liked Gordon as well.

Nuggets set themselves up well. I don't think a full squad is too worried about the Clips or Warriors and the Thunder and Rockets probably get the two most dangerous teams early in the Grizz and the Wolves. Murray when he's not well is a problem but he's still exactly what they need in the playoffs. I mean shit not even using MPJ much, if that guy could just get hot for once who wants to play them?

I don’t think the Nuggets beat either the Clippers nor the Wolves. Feel likes it’s the 2 teams in the 1st round that will give Murray the most problems.

The Clippers? Ummm ok. Only thing that they can do is use Zubac to bang around Jokic for a bit. That's a team not constructed to put 4 good games in a series together. Obviously the key will be to get through it as quick as possible so they hit OKC rested and healthy.

On another note, I don't know what to make about all these stories about Malone. I mean trade rookies for veterans ever chance you get? That's insane. Right now I totally see the need for letting him go and I'm kinda bummed they didn't do it at the ASG as some have said Josh was considering. Malone will find work again but he's tarnished his potential of being a long run coach.

Wasn't too happy about either potential opponent, but the Wolves have had our number ever since game 7 last year. Hopefully, we have better luck against LA.

There exists the smallest of small possiblities in the universe that we beat 3 California teams on the way to the Finals. You'd need Warriors and Kings to get out of the play-in and then both to upset OKC and Houston.

Clippers, then potentially the Warriors/Kings and finally the Lakers. That would be epic and we would be the most hated team in California for a long time.
