Other Sports: Broncos, Nuggets, Rockies etc…Part VII

id like to see them go DL/WR/RB for the first 3 picks, DL is deep as well this draft, and we have like an entire line up for new contracts after this season

I am definitely expecting some curve balls this draft.....I think they could take a project OT again (not in the 1st round but in the mid rounds) - they've now got over $50M/year tied up in McGlinchey and Bolles. McGlinchey could possibly be a cap casualty after this next season. I like both of the development kids they already got (palczewski and crum). If one of those could step in at RT, we would reap some major cap savings. If not they should prob roll the dice on someone. They did already interview a project OT from Wisconsin recently - huge framed kid but needs some development just like the 2 I mentioned.

I could see them going DL too and RB for sure. Both are super deep positions. I still think they need a vet RB in the room though or we are going to be in trouble. Maybe they're waiting for one to get cut somewhere.

I don't know how anyone can watch these games without Joker and then say he isn't the MVP. The Nuggets are a lottery team without him.

Absolutely f***ing embarassing by MPJ and Murray. f***ing losers.

this past week has only told me that Aaron Gordon is our second most important player and if we lose him cause all these other jokers are making max - we are pretty screwed. I can’t believe AG is the only one who can show up without Joker. And impressive that he’s doing it at the C despite being 6’8. There’s not a single other dude on this squad that can generate his own offense.

How does Murray lead all players in minutes played, yet have zero free throw attempts? I'm not sure he was ever a Max player, and he sure as hell is not now. Yet that is what Booth saddled the team with. I am completely sick and tired of hearing Altitude announcers talk about the 'two man game' between Joker and Murray when I can count on 2 hands ( maybe one) the amount of times this season that there was a supposed pick-and-roll where Murray chose to pass to Joker on the roll. I've watched every minute of every game and can't think of 10 times total, all season.

As for MPJ, he was never a Max player and never will be. He has the physical talent, but not the Hoops IQ. I thought it was a good idea to sign him out of college, even with the injury. But he is a complementary player, not a max contract All-Star.

This needs to be Calvin Booth's last year as GM. He has a player who should be in the conversation for best player ever, and will likely only get Joker a single NBA championship. That is a crime.

RIP George Foreman. I’ll always be extremely skeptical of the bout that won him the belt (Michael Moorer fell reeeeeal easy) but that was one hell of a fight against Ali. And hey, he gave us a new way of cooking food and seemed like a pretty affable personality (though he really didn’t need to name all his sons George).

At this point I’m pretty optimistic Booth will be gone. I’m pretty sure he announced close to the start of the season that he was working on an extension with the nuggets and then about 1/4 of the way through the year that news turned to absolute crickets. The writing seems to be on the wall.

Whether Malone goes or not will probably be up to the new GM. I like Malone as a person - great guy, father, coach, etc. At this point though Mike probably needs to go. He’s way too invested (personally) into some of these players and if they truly wanna shake things up I feel like he’s going to have a hard time with it.

Booth and Malone are a case study in how not to run a team with a generational talent. Lucky for us that Joker is a quality guy and doesn’t seem to care enough about his legacy to ask out of this mess
