Tomorrow morning is the best boxing card in a very, very long time. Watch it if you have the chance.

The card (independent rankings from the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board used)
Artur Beterbiev (c) v #1 Dmitry Bivol for the undisputed lineal/Ring/WBA/WBC/IBF/WBO/IBO 175 title
#2 Carlos Adames (c) v #4 Hamzah Sheeraz for the WBC 160 title
#3 Shakur Stevenson (c) v Josh Padley for the WBC 135 title
#4 Vergil Ortiz (c) v #5 Israil Madrimov for the WBC interim 154 title
#2 Joseph Parker (c) v #6 Martin Bakole for the WBO interim heavyweight title
#4 Zhilei Zhang v #5 Agit Kabayel for the vacant WBC interim heavyweight title
#3 Joshua Buatsi (c) v #8 Callum Smith for the WBO interim 175 title

Parker was supposed to challenge #1 Daniel Dubois for the IBF heavyweight belt, but unfortunately Dubois withdrew at the last second due to an illness (the "illness" is speculated by me to be an offer for a title shot at lineal/Ring/WBA/WBC/WBO/IBO champion Oleksandr Usyk in a rematch). But, thankfully, they managed to get the #6 heavyweight in the world to jump in and save the fight at the last second.

Beterbiev vs Bivol 1 was a classic that Beterbiev barely edged. Rematch should be fantastic.

For every fighter on the entire card besides Padley to be ranked in the top 8 of their respective divisions is absolutely insane. Even UFC couldn't put together a card this nuts and they have all their fighters under contract. Saudi blood money is behind this card, unfortunately, but at this point their money is funding the majority of combat sports across the board. Can't really avoid it if you like boxing, wrestling, or MMA.

Denver really took it on the chin this weekend. Avs lost twice, Nugs got blown out at home, Mammoth got blown out at home, Rapids opener ended in a scoreless tie (how can anyone watch that sport?).

Rapids new uniforms look sooooooo bad. Right idea but they used the worst possible colors so that they, as The Athletic put it, look like they’re wearing something that has mold growing on it.

There sure is a lot of buzz around Luka/Jokic getting together after the other nights game.

If Luka doesn’t resign this is gonna get crazy. Luka’s wife is a model so I can’t imagine them leaving LA but if he did decide to go to FA he’d have a line of teams waiting to throw dough at him.

Luka needs to prove he wants to win bad enough before id want him around a team I supported. Yeah he's still young but time to step up and prove you will do the work and build the guys around you. Not to mention playing a little D wouldn't hurt. Not winning shit until he does all that.

At this point, play Pickett over Westbook if he insists on turning the ball over and over

Live by the Westbrook, die by the Westbrook. Pickett has outperformed expectations and I'm happy for him but the more minutes he plays the more his deficiencies as a ball handler will be exposed. He's an excellent passer, he's a good defender, and he's a reasonably competent scorer but when teams learn to pressure his dribble he's going to end up turning it over more than Westbrook.

Nick Emmanwori should be the target with our first.

I was praising him a few months ago but I dunno anymore after I have thought a lot about the Broncos offseason. Yeah he killed it at the combine. He was already projected 15-30 and now he’s probably more so 5-20. It’s amazing that he basically scored a perfect 10 in the combine rankings. And he’d be a 10 at either safety spot or WR. Just crazy combine numbers.

I don’t think the Broncos should go after him though. He very likely will turn out to be a hell of a player but you can acquire a solid safety in FA for $5-10million-ish. The same is gonna be true for the ILB Jihaad Campbell. Both guys are gonna be super pros but S and ILB are just very cheap positions to fill out on the open market. I think we will know a lot about the Broncos direction in the draft based on who they can sign in FA. If they can’t fill S or ILB on the market then both of these guys are definitely going to be in play.

I’m still holding out hope that they get Tyler Warren. I think it’s a stretch tho - Warrens mostly likely gone by 20. But honestly I’d be happy if they traded down at this point. The draft seems like it’s getting pretty deep. Get Mason Taylor at TE in the 2nd, maybe Skattebo in the 3rd and a few more lineman. Avoid Arroyo at all costs - kid is talented but he’s made of glass. Also avoid Fannin - dude is Julius Thomas 2.0.
