Good luck Garrett and Red Sox

I would never go that long on a pitching contract
You need to if you want to compete for world series titles. Because the top pitchers will go elsewhere if you don't. As us Sox fans have seen unfortunately.

Now this deal. It's risky for Boston with Crochet's short track record of success and health. They're doubling down on their trade, where they gave up a lot. Good luck to them. I hope it works out for the Red Sox and Crochet.

I feel like in all my years of following baseball that guys like PCA that can’t hit after this many ABs just never really figure it out.

He was pretty decent down the stretch last year. Not like he has never had any success at the major league level

Yeah idk about forever but after 400+ ABs he's really struggled. He'll still be useful regardless.
The rule of thumb is that hitters need about 1500 ABs before any decisions can be made. PCA is not even at 500 AB. Like I said, a little early.

With that said, I am concerned about his hit tool. Even if PCA does not hit consistency, his other skills still make him a valuable player.
