  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
Alright, Illini the sixth seed to face off versus the winner of Texas/Xavier in the first round. If we win that, will face likely Kentucky in the second round.

Yeah, he is cooked

Also, it's not like White Sox have good pitching staff so another indictment against him if he couldn't win spot on Sox at OF or in rotation/pen

I stopped following Sox news after the inactivity in FA and not even an attempt to field improved roster

Also Manfred, the gap between haves and have nots and other things have made me not care about MLB at all at this point

I might turn on a game here and there in background while I do something or if nothing is on and I have no plans/work but at this point I won't go out of my way to watch Sox/MLB

With the rule change UN-incentivizing being a horrible team regarding draft position. I'm not really sure why they made no effort to give the fans anything of interest to watch/follow. It's like they're going out of their way to make the attendance as low as possible.

For example - look at this past draft lottery. Ok the Sox weren't eligible before #10, and they will be in 2026. But the next two worst teams in this past draft lottery were the Rockies and Marlins, who are picking 4th and 7th respectively. The year before the worst team picked 4th.

The only reason to field a team this is bad is because you have a cheapskate owner who doesnt want to spend money. You can't hide behind 'a proper rebuild' anymore.

Ironically - you've defended this cheapskate owner over the years, so I guess you got what you wanted.

Because Reinsdorf. That's it.
