I've been told apparently the players didn't want to wear this thing, so they scrambled to create a new hat 😂

Interesting. Well, their scrambling was pretty dang solid! I mean, pretty easy fix, but glad they went this route, because the new hat is great.

I also just saw a jacket. Now, I am not a hat guy, but I am a jacket guy. Gonna need self control not to go after it.

So those are replacing the dumb wrigleyville jerseys, not the blue alts we won the world series in, right? I'm good on those if so.

I do wish that the Cubs would being back the red-brimed blue hats from the 90s, though.

So the Dodgers signed a 23 year old pitcher who is expected to be a top of the rotation quality? Sasaki can "only" get a 6.5M bonus but it's hard to believe any other team was ever considered, especially since his fellow countrymen Ohtani and Yamamoto are obviously on the Dodgers.

For me the MLB is almost as ruined and as dull as the NBA is, which is by far the worst pro sport these days IMO. With the exception of the NFL and NHL, I'm losing interest in most sports these days.

I'm not even sure how you fix it at this point when teams like the Dodgers/Mets would never agree to a cap, yet teams like the A's and Pirates would never agree to a floor.

Lockout after '26 is for sure happening, but going to be interesting to watch unfold, as you have owner vs. owner issues alongside owners vs. players.

RIP

Classic case of a guy who didn't get along with upper management/ownership in most of his career stops. White Sox encouraged him to leave for Mets offer

Had his best success in Chicago never replicated it again

Outside of game he was successful in broadcasting career

The most boring "college" football season is finally over.

I forgot it was on while watching the Hawks and saw OSU was up 21-7 in the second quarter so didn't bother to turn it on for even a second. I now see it was 31-7 at one point in the third quarter, what a thriller.

Out of the 11 playoff games only 2 were had a margin of victor in the single digits. Average margin of victory of all games was 15 points.

NIL and the transfer portal has been killing the sport to me. In fact, I don't view it as College Football anymore. It's a mediocre version of the NFL.
