Yeah, I would never let my son play football. So much gruesome injury potential not including the concussion aspect.

I don’t see how the NFL lasts another 3 decades unless it becomes a contact free, flag football league.

Had that convo with wife recently since we just had a kid a few months ago. Football isn’t on the table, and hockey probably wouldn’t be either, but hockey doesn’t really exist where we live.

Hopefully I can convince him to get into mountain biking with me.

Hmmmm. I bashed my head mountain biking way worse than in football.

Well, at least as bad.

The concussions are the biggest thing. It only takes a couple to really f*** you up, and they are almost guaranteed in football.

I wonder if today is the day we finally get a playoff game that isn't a blowout. Average margin of victory for the 5 games so far is just under 19 points and all games have been decided by double digits.

Texas/ASU - I think Texas will destroy them and it is the least competitive game of the day.
OSU/Oregon - hoping this is a great game and will be a coin flip.
ND/UGA - no clue what to expect with UGA using their backup QB.

Hmmmm. I bashed my head mountain biking way worse than in football.

Well, at least as bad.

Shoulder, wrist, collar bones, and broken bones in general... sure, that happens. For the youth programs I've been involved with head injuries aren't the biggest of concerns. Obviously they happen but they're not as common as one might think.

Missed the first 45 minutes of the Texas/ASU game but what I have watched so far has been a fun as hell game.

Best game of the playoffs. Shame ASU gave up that 4th and 13.

As an ASU alum I mentioned considering going to the Cotton Bowl right before the 4th and 13, so it was likely my fault that they were jinxed to let up that score and eventually lose.

I believe they beat Ohio State by 1 in Oregon. Ohio State beat the hell out of Oregon on a neutral site. Big difference.

And Michigan beat Ohio State at Ohio State, so like is everyone overrated? The reality is there just aren't any great teams in college football this year, which is why the CFP has been intriguing. There isn't one team I thought for sure would win.

Bad nights happen though. Unfortunately for Oregon, it came at a pretty bad time. Ohio State was also apparently woken up by that Michigan loss.

They feel like the clear favorite to win the whole thing right now, but usually as soon as I start thinking that about a team, they lay an egg.

The game I thought would be the least competitive and entertaining was the game of the playoffs so far, and the game I thought would be the most competitive might've been the worst game so far.

Show how much I know.
