I turned the first playoff game off at halftime. That was just terrible quality football and dreadfully boring.

ND now gets Georgia who is without their starting QB. Surprised to see the betting line open as close as it is, Georgia -1.

4 terrible games. So happy they expanded the playoff for that.

None of those 4 teams that lost belonged in. I suspect we will be saying the same about Boise State and Arizona State as well.

If Illinois was having their best season ever and the payoff was a quick exit from this playoff you all would be doing backflips at how exciting the season was. Maybe some year your school will make the playoff and it will be more fun for you.

I don’t have a school I grew up rooting for and where I went to school didn’t have a football program. I just want to see good games in a tournament for the title.

Next round I think/hope we will at least get two games, along with two blowouts I’d imagine.

Oregon and OSU will be super fun to watch.

If games between 12 of the top 20 (arguably) programs in the country is “terrible quality” and “dreadfully boring” to you then I’m left to think you only watch 4 or 5 games a year.
If enjoyed the games.

A couple of hole in ones at the PNC Golf on Sunday. One by Tiger's son Charlie. Tourney went to playoff between the Woods and Langers. 67 yr old Bernhard sank an eagle putt on the second playoff hole to win; course due to his age, his teeing ground was ~100yds in front of Tigers's. Lots of good times at the PNC - nothing like the Bears game.

I think CFB as a whole has started to take a huge step back in quality due to the crazy number of transfers. This was the least interesting season in the last 10+ years for me personally.

Did you see the score disparities from the first round of playoff games?

Ohio State up 42-10 in the 4th quarter.
ND up 27-3 in the 4th quarter.
PSU up 38-3 in the 4th quarter.
Clemson was within a TD at one point early in the 4th Q but prior to that were down 31-10 at a point in the 3rd quarter.

These were terrible quality games that were dreadfully boring if you aren't a fan of the winning team because too many teams make the playoff. I'm not even arguing Alabama, Ole Miss, or Miami should have made the playoff. They shouldn't have either.

Arizona State and Boise State I'd imagine are about to get blown out as well. Texas is a 14-point favorite and PSU is favored by 10.5. I'd be shocked if either of those games are even remotely entertaining.

There have been more than a few blowouts in the past 15 years of top four games. They aren't always close just because they have a 1 and a 2 next to their names.

Oh for sure, it's been far from a perfect system. I just think it's going to get even worse and less interesting moving forward.

It already has, IMO.

I dont get these playoff format decisions. It's far less interesting to me.

I love a good one classic bowl game of 2 random teams who don't ever see each other playing for that one moment
