Great games all weekend in the NFL divisional playoffs. This is why this weekend in pro football is great, and wildcard weekend is a boring waste of time.

The way the KC and Buffalo defenses are playing is a coin flip going to decide who plays Cincinnati?

...and the Chiefs have won the toss. I really don't want to see Josh Allen and the Bills lose this game after his performance today.
I'm a Bills fan. This game really hurt.

Our defense can't hold a lead for 13 f***ing seconds.

Josh Allen's performance today might be the best QBing I've ever seen in a losing effort. Amazing you could play that well and still lose.

I was rooting hard for the Bills, hate KC but 13 seconds and couldn't stop Mahomes. They pretty much ran out of gas. And I believe KC got the luck of the draw and won that Coin toss. As soon as Allen lost that toss I knew the game was over for the Bills. If Buffalo won that toss no doubt the Bills would have won cuz no way KC is stopping Allen as well. He was destroying that defense. Feel bad for the Bills wanted a Cincy, Buffalo AFC finals.

Blows my mind the Bills didn't squib the kickoff with 13 seconds left. How do you give Mahomes the maximum amount of clock possible?

with 13 seconds, you should be able to kick it out of the EZ and easily win. No need to risk a KO return. However, KC had multiple time-outs and Mahomes was shredding them -- it was pretty easy to envision KC having two down the middle to either their speed WRS or TE with those TOs and potentially get close enough. Such horrible D being played. So i agree -- you squib kick the ball to chew up time and they only have one play to run. That definitely was the right move under these circumstances.
I can't imagine being a Bills fan right now. It's gotta be miserable outside too for them in Buffalo...to match the miserableness inside them.

Even if you squib kick the ball, the KC player simply kneels and gives himself up, the clock does not move until a player touches it so no time would elapse.

Bills didn't need to rush four on the pass play to Kelce. They could have put in another DB on that one. Funny enough, they had called a time out prior to that play so not sure what the thinking was coming out of it.

Glass half full this morning, Bills Mafia, you have easily one of the best QB's in the league for the next decade, hope the organization makes it count.

super worried about the rams....lost last 6 to 9ers, choked and gave up huge lead in last game against them, and again against Bucs with miracle win. When looking at the 2 teams- think Niners coach is best in the league and they have to feel really good about their chances. Injuries a factor for them but all things being equal they are the worst team the Rams could possibly face on the road to the Super Bowl.

yeah, I was asking you how CF OT works.
Each team gets a possession starting at the opposition's 25-yard line. If the scored is tied after the first possession, they go to second possession for each team. If still tied after the second possessions, I believe it is then the teams start alternating two-point conversion tries until one team is successful and the other one has failed.

Bottom line, both teams get an equal number of possessions in OT.

Each team gets an equal number of possessions. The rules in football today are heavily slanted to the benefit of offenses. The college rules allow both sides to play offense.
Why do they need equal possessions? They already changed it so you can't win on a FG at first possession. If you can't stop a TD you don't deserve a possession especially when the 2nd possession can win with a FG.

As I said, and was evident in the last two minutes of the Buffalo vs KC game, the rules are heavily slanted in favor of the offense in today's NFL.

Forcing a team to score a TD to win was an improvement, but they might as well go all the way and not have the game decided by a coin flip.

I would rather see them use the college rules.

Why didn't Buffalo cover Kelce? Nothing in the rules say they can't cover Kelce.

Whatever, I have explained to you why possessions on offense would make it fair for both sides. If you don't think offenses have a rules advantage, then you should be fine with the result.

The rules favor the offense but that doesn't exempt the Bills from having to play defense like everyone else. They blew it. The result is fine. Rules don't need to be changed to add another gimmick to another sport to settle OT games.

If playing defense is part of the game, both teams should have to play defense in OT (i.e. KC should not have been exempt from playing defense in OT simply because they won a coin flip and scored a TD).
