I think it would be a mistake to let go of Kershaw just yet. Until we don’t sign someone who is just as good and maybe a little younger in free agency or develop or draft the next Kershaw I think they should keep him around another 2-3 years and he can still be an elite great number 2 . If we need to shed salary it should be one of the outfielders

Or Rich Hill I hate the guy. He sucks . 18 mill could be used wiser or on another pitcher

If Kershaw opts out of his contract the dodgers need to let him walk. Hes already lost almost 4 to 5 mph on his fastball and back problems. That said guy pitched great today and still has world class breaking balls. I just dont see many more years out of him.

It sucks cus Verlander is still throwing 96 at 35.

He went through a 2-3 year period where he was pretty awful (2014 in particular), velo was way down, then he figured something out and it has come back to some degree.

I suspect he (Kershaw) either won't opt-out, or they'll work something out that adds a few years to his current deal.

I’m of the mind that Kershaw should retire a Dodger. Seeing him in a Giant or Yankee jersey would make my blood turn.

Dont get me wrong I like the dude a lot, but if he wants long term and even more money hes not worth it. Walker buehler is going to be a stud in 2 years, he can fill the ace roll.
