Seriously, I know it's a long shot but NC States hockey team is pretty good for being a club level team. If anyone from the region has a shot at doing what Arizona State did (jump to the NCAA) it would probably be the Icepack.

The London knights were up 3-0 in their series against the Guelph Storm. Game 7 was tonight and the knights took a 3-1 lead before giving up 5 straight goals to lose 6-3.

I thought their unis looked very similar to the Ottawa 67’s.

Took the son to watch the game last night & it was pretty fun, since we didn’t have a dog in the fight, though we always enjoy watching UNC lose.

UNC was totally overmatched. Jaddara (sp?), for the Pack, was the best player on the ice, without question. A lot of hitting & a decent crowd. Definitely worth the $10 donation we spent.

nc state actually told the club hockey team that they weren't allowed to use any official nc state athletic logos after they already ordered jerseys this year, so they had to do a fundraiser to design new ones and order replacements.

I think that's pretty standard for club sports. If you're not playing in an official NCAA sport for your school theres rules about what logos you're allowed to use. I think some clubs go ahead and use whatever they want anyway though and just hope no one cares

Correct. All clubs knew this to be the case at least 6 years ago. NC State is downright militant about non-use of their trademarks, right down to color and words. Someone in the administration came across a picture of one of our players on Twitter and furthered it to the point where we were busted for having the word STATE in the place of the name badge on the upper back of our jerseys.

That seems excessive but it's their right to exercise that.
