Yes. I literally got some at the prom and not at the after party.

I've still got some time, but.... I don't really go to parties. I'll let someone else decide, and tag along with some friends

I was the same way when I was your age, and still am. I did exactly what you said (just tagged along). I didn't go to a huge party or anything, I stuck with my closest friends for the whole night and had a blast.

Parties are fun. Not rave like house parties though. Too much noise and impossible to actually talk to people.

I like this thread Usually I find way more interesting and cool people on the interwebz. Like during Winter Break I took a trip down to NYC and met with some HFNYR goers. Were cool people!

The biggest thing is music at parties.

It's awful. I'm a metal guy. People at parties play rap and techno, both of my most hated musical genres.

I think people look at me funny when I say I listen to Iron Maiden...

i had a bad breakup and started to **** around. but when i had a gf i barely went to parties. even now, honestly some nights are just meant to be chill with friends. i like those.

The nights sitting around with buddies are the best, you get your laughs, don't have to worry about **** and all that. Friday night we played some shinny and just hung out after. was relaxing and fun.

parties back in high school were the **** though. haha, just a different breed. half the party was getting alcohol, just that rush of sneaking into my friends apartment building.
Those were the times of:

Now, if I do go out, its more wild. there's no party with "just" friends. that changes during spring/winter breaks though. those are fun, just catching up with the people you spent HS with.

And yeah, getting drunk does help but not when you wake up, feeling like **** in a random bed or something. then look through your fb, texts..oh noo
