Holy Acid batman (I mean the software... although I suppose the other one probably has meaning, I wouldn't know )

I haven't heard that before. I like it. I'm always intrigued by music that sounds like it's off on the surface, but when you pay close attention, it isn't at all.

Here's one I got that has that quality to it: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9657382/05 Interstitial.mp3

The Well was the 2nd or 3rd piece that got me into Industrial and Aggrotech, etc. I really enjoyed the feel and sound and it was unique in the fact that i hadn't heard anything like it before. However I do prefer the side that Phosgore plays on where it's louder and more powerful I guess. I like the speed too but all this stuff we've collectively been posting is great.

Sorry to keep spamming you with music, but I can't resist sharing my tunes. You like Oakenfold, you say?

If you like this stuff, how could you not?

Honestly, I work in a place with a bunch of guitarists. They have no idea how people could like this music. Personally, I have no idea how people can be so into music without enjoying the full range of it... and that includes VERY major key, upbeat stuff like that track.

20 years ago, you would've been a huge metalhead

Oh I am that too. I have every Testament Album, Slayer, Megadeth, Metallica, Exodus, Black Sabbath, all that. That's my other passion, the one that would win if I had to choose. You wouldn't believe how many records I have
I actually won a Pyromania Record signed by all the Def Leppard members once. I've seen so many metal bands in my years and I grew up listening to it (I remember being 3 or 4, listening to Ugly Kid Joe, Metallica, Exodus, etc...) It's great.

Not too big on Metal. I have some scattered songs and what not, but nothing spectacular.

I USED to like Linkin Park until I realized how horrible their lyrics are. It's like six or seven grown men got together and could only manage to write songs straight from a 15 year old girls Facebook.

Yeah, I liked them up until Minutes to Midnight. I started listening to Coldplay and they're ****ing amazing.

My friend tries to push them on me: One day I was driving him home and Judas Priest was on the radio. He changed it and I almost lost it

In other news, Canada has ceased production/use of the penny. Cash transactions will be rounded to the nearest 5c

I have some Metallica, a single Megadeth song and not much else. I'm not really sure if they qualify as metal but I really do like System of a Down and Rage Against the Machine as well as Alice in Chains.

Ha, wow alright. Yeah, that stuff (Testament and Megadeth specifically, plus In Flames, etc) was my 2nd musical passion and the one that really thrust me forward into music. Loved 90s alt-rock before that (STP, The Toadies, etc). I was in metal bands a lot for a while there. Good to see a wide range of taste on here.

Try this:
and this:

Edit: Tawnos, I was in a metal band as a rhythm guitarist for a few months before I started my semester in the summer. I loved it. The band that put me into metalhead category was probably Testament. I saw them in concert when I was really young, and Over the Wall was amazing. I've been hooked ever since.

won a VIP Freeroll Tournament for $8,100 + my trip down to the casino adds to a solid $9,200 weekend for about 7 hours worth of relaxed work drinking champagne and eating sushi :yo:

Linkin Park is a band I always really *want* to like. Then I listen to them and find myself wanting to change the song.

My feeling is, as long as you're into some kind of music, it's all good to me. I like a ton of different stuff, but so often I don't like what everyone else seems to in a particular genre. Like how I don't like Nirvana. Or Pink Floyd. Or Slayer. It's weird.

Don't some coins cost more to make than they are worth?

Excuse me, but....

Finally. Hopefully the US does this as well. I believe a few European countries don't use the one cent Euro.

It used to be that Illinois was holding us back from eliminating the penny, since they use it in toll booths (because Lincoln is on the face). Don't know if that's true anymore.

Oh definitely, I really really dislike Nirvana. Love Floyd and Slayer though! my favorite band is definitely Testament though. They're so awesome. I really can't do much more than single out maybe 2 or 3 songs that are subpar. Their new album is incredible too.

'A Thousand Suns' is one of the most anti-authoritarian albums put out by a mainstream band in quite awhile. I really enjoyed it.

How the hell did I miss that Souls of Black was re-recorded for Rockband? God, I wish they would just go through an remix/remaster that whole album and Practice What You Preach the way Megadeth did for their whole catalog.
