I too grew up, knowing about Nickelback. The #1 accusation Chad Kroeger receives is his constant recycling of previously-used riffs from his own earlier works.

Not sure if serious or just being the always humourous BWH, so here's your 'and now you know' moment of the day!

The name Nickelback came from a band member who worked at a coffee shop. One of the most common items that was purchased came to I think $1.95 and people would usually pay him $2 so instead of saying here's your change, he'd say "Here's your nickel back." He said it so often he decided to pitch it as a band name and it stuck.

I was being a wiseass. I know the Canadians call it a nickel too. Such a letdown since they call a coin a loonie
 
The ads on this site are so ****ing annoying. I have stopped trying to view HF on my phone cos %150 of time there is a stupid ad.
 
I have no clue how some professors get their jobs. I've had two professors who literally don't give a single **** about education. They sit around in their office with the door locked during office hours or just aren't there. They read off of powerpoints not even made them, just copied and pasted from the internet. Lazy as ****. They need to get fired.
