Has anyone here ever done a Tough Mudder? I want to do one this year with some friends and consider myself in decent shape (I do 2-3 1 hour cycling classes a week + lifting + running in the spring/summer - although I hurt my back a little doing Crossfit a couple of months ago so I haven't run in a while) but I am wondering how crazy hard they are.

Looking for some OT help.

Trying to find a Rangers blog I liked. My computer blew up during the lockout and I lost all my bookmarks. Haven't been able to track it down through search engines.

Guy posted usually only after games. Smart hockey guy, sharp elbows sometimes. Had a thing for mice (no kidding).

Anyone know who I'm thinking of?

Yeah, definitely nyrblueshirts.com :sarcasm:

(ignore my custom title)

As am I. For some reason I still regularly watch SNL, even though it isn't so great anymore. Jennifer Lawrence is great, a real up-and-comer there she's already separated herself pretty well from The Hunger Games, and there's still what, two movies to go there?

She's also a WHOLE lot of woman :naughty:

My theory on why SNL isn't as great as it used to be I think is a pretty good one. It's due to the fact that there are now so many ways to break into the comedy/acting scene, that the top-talents don't need SNL anymore. Think about the millions of new sitcoms that hit the airwaves every year, or just stand up routines that can take off on YT or a quick local comedy tour.

A guy like Donald Glover (Childish Gambino) would have been EXCELLENT on SNL. But he got his big break writing for '30 Rock' and then starring in 'Community' rather than having to go through the SNL trade like guys like Adam Sandler, Mike Meyers, Chevy Chase, etc... etc... had to go through.

My $0.02

Agree on all points, ESPECIALLY the Jennifer Lawrence part :naughty:, the next few hosts should be interesting, you have Lawrence, Adam Levine, then Bieber, key word interesting haha.

You know when you buy a wedge and you tell yourself you're only going to eat half of it now and the other half later and then when you finish the first half you still feel hungry and eat the 2nd half? Yeah, that just happened.

I never tell myself I'm going to eat half.

Nope, but I do have a lot of teammates that do those events. They're tough, but if you're in decent shape you should do fine. A lot of people are focusing on completion rather than beating a specific time goal.

I have friends who are way less athletic and healthy who have completed them. They're tough, but like TooLine said, if you're in decent shape you should be ok.

Not surprised about hurting yourself doing crossfit. That's always what that joke of a workout leads to.

Anyways Ive seen these tough mudders but thats about it. Looks like the other guys have more insight. They seem ok though. That said I generally stay away from all these sort of workout groups. They get cultish and odd, seriously. But if they motivate ya, then good for you man

I moved to a new area and wanted to try it. I liked it and I learned a lot doing it and I am in MUCH better shape than when I started but its expensive.
