I'm gonna have to disagree with you here. Precious metals, outside of maybe copper, really have no utility. They also don't pay any dividends and have ridiculous volatility. As a diversification tool it's fine, but I wouldn't dare put all my eggs in that basket.

I don't really want to get into a political debate, but I'll throw my opinion out there and we'll likely disagree and hopefully leave it at that: the fiat monetary system at it exists cannot continue. I don't think the dollar will continue as the primary reserve currency much longer. The entire system may collapse sometime within the next decade or two. Central banks continue to increase gold holdings as a percentage of total reserves and I think many of them have come to the conclusion that backing up a fiat currency with another fiat currency makes no sense.

I see what your'e saying and have colleagues who share similar viewpoints. Mine just happens to be different and I rather not get into it either. Hell, if everyone had the same opinion there wouldn't really be much of a market for anything (real estate, investments, Rangers tickets, etc.).

I really didn't think it was that bad. It wasn't done in a serious tone. And honestly, from dating women, i've watched and learned tv shows like sex & the city, i know some stuff about shopping etc. It's the same thing. We adapt to the other sex because we enjoy there company.

They probably shouldn't repost things that can be taken as insensitive, but it's basically a woman's guide on how to read her man. If you go on yahoo pretty much everyday there's an article about that kind of stuff.
