OT Thread Part IIX: The How Do Roman Numerals Work? Edition

2 more people added on facebook. 2 more chances of accidentally creeping out strangers

I have about 70 Facebook friends these days. When I played college hockey and partied every week I had hundreds but since graduating and slowing down I decided to trim the fat. I have all my old teammates, a good amount of family and the 20 or so people who are actually worth staying in touch with.

Ah, so that's who sent me a friend request. For a second I was like, "The ****?"

Meanwhile, I was in my closet this morning picking out clothes to give to charity and realizes I've got a Zetterberg replica, Vermette replica (Columbus) and Ovechkin authentic that I want to sell as well as the Cally authentic. Trim the fat from the jersey collection as well and get a McD authentic while I'm at it.

No way man. At 5'11" and 140 lbs, I think I'm very skinny.

Damn. That's thin if true. My bro is 5'10 160 and he's pretty damn scrawny, albeit with the thick hockey tree trunks that run in the family. At 5'9 200 I'm thick, but I don't look an actual 200 because so much is in my legs. I'd like to add about 5 more lbs of muscle to my upper body while cutting the 5-10lbs of extra fat I've got to hit my final goal.

After high school, I did the same. There were just too many people that were there for no greater reason than the overzealous friend-ing when Facebook became popular. I keep it around 50 nowadays. That way, I can actually post interesting personal stuff on Facebook and use it for the reasons I believe it ought to be used for.

My doctor just called and said I should make an appointment. Apparently I have low vitamin D, but after checking online, that sometimes is associated with some bad things. I don't wanna die. :(

But seriously, why do they get you so nervous when they call and don't let you make an appointment for like three days!?

If it was serious, would they have made an appointment sooner?

Low vitamin D is often associated with not getting enough sun light and seasonal affect disorder. Can have other, more odorous connotations, but typically, it's just a seasonal thing and not very dangerous.

Pretty much the answer.... My guess is you'll get a prescription for a super high dose of Vit D pills. Like 50,000 units. Then they'll suggest adding a daily vit d pill to supplement. That and you should think about seeing the sun sometime....

I have the same problem since I like staying inside to begin with and I work nights so there are days that go by without me ever really seeing the sun.

so i figure the world will end at midnight central time. so 2 am for us new yorkers. it was nice knowing u guys

Hmm... maybe it's PST? If that's the case, we got about 5 mins left. I guess if I'm going to have another beer, I should do it now...

Were we ever on it? Even the Mayans have debunked this one.

Not sure maybe?

Haha I'm kidding I'm kidding.

You guys remember that Harrold Camping guy? I think that was his name. That old man in California that predicted the world was gonna end like 3 or 4 different times, and every time he was wrong he said he miscalculated? That was crazy. He actually got people to sell everything they owned cause they believed the world was ending in May of 2011. Then when nothing happened he said it was a judgement period, and it would really end in October. Then October came, and well we were still here!

Did a plane just crash in anyone else's backyard? :sarcasm:

No, but I am having this crazy wind storm that was not forecast yesterday no lie. Had some rain pass through earlier, but it's still real gusty.:amazed:
