This OT Thread has been in quite the slump I must say, gentlemen.

So you're buddy comes in here, and answers by posting some really bad pop videos! Come on JWK give us something better!

On a sad note call me maybe makes me bummed. It was starting to get all kinds of airplay back when we still had hockey.:(

what's worse? Bad pop or the usage of an incorrect "your/you're?"

I remember this song got huge because they played it at every Devils game during pregame/warmups. I loved it.

I still don't think Gaborik gets enough love not just on here but from all of HF.

He's one of the most talented players we've ever had, and his overall game has improved greatly under Torts.

It's cause he isn't a tough guy and such. And even though the Rangers improved their signing tendencies, he's downed on because he was an FA that signed here.

No he's not a touch guy in terms of hitting and fighting, but he comes to play every night and is willing to play hurt. It annoys me when he's called "soft"

There's a big difference between a guy who plays a finesse game and a guy who's soft.

I totally get the free agency thing though. Big names scare the hell out of me. I'm sure all the regulars here remember that I was the biggest opponent on these boards of bringing in Brad Richards. I've since warmed up to the idea :)

I'm scared of big names too. I wasn't very terrified of Richards though. Nash a bit but I got pumped when we hosed the jackets, but we need to see him play.

I'm excited about Nash. I think the success of Richards and Gaborik in Ranger's uniforms (Richards in the playoffs particularly) have softened me up a bit.

I had no problem going out and getting a Nash shirt at the NHL store. He better not make me regret it and go back to the Gomez days of "nobody not from Hartford allowed" :help:

I like Gaborik 95% as much as most of you do, and I don't mind him being 'soft' but if he drove the net a bit more aggressively or threw his weight around (he's decent sized) on the forecheck a little more, it would do wonders for his reputation. I get it though, he's fragile and I'd rather him be healthy and 'soft' than gritty and out, but sometimes - and granted, it's not a big problem - it would be nice to see a little more grit than we do (which I admit, there is some - sometimes more than others).

Anyhow, I've been talking with some hockey fans and we're considering organizing on the sidewalk outside of the league offices in NYC tomorrow. Anyone interested in joining a peaceful, silent, picket with signs? Maybe some fun in the city after?

I'd rather throw a brick through Fehr's and Bettman's houses. But if I was down there this week, I would.

I probably will in a bit, but I'm waiting to gauge interest from a couple other people I'm talking to over PM, about organizing it a bit.

I will ride there on a horse with twin American Canadian flags and declare war. The two NA nation against the NHL. We will bring to battle, 1,000 grizzly bears and 500 moose along with vouchers for discounted Tim hortons products.
