In like 2000-2001 range. It was when I was a kid, and we were poor so my mom always bought those since those got you full easily and it was cheap.

Modern cilantrophobes tend to describe the offending flavor as soapy rather than buggy. I don’t hate cilantro, but it does sometimes remind me of hand lotion. Each of these associations turns out to make good chemical sense.

Flavor chemists have found that cilantro aroma is created by a half-dozen or so substances, and most of these are modified fragments of fat molecules called aldehydes. The same or similar aldehydes are also found in soaps and lotions and the bug family of insects.

Supposedly there's genetics involved with why some people do and some people don't, although I don't think it's really proven. There are people who can't stand the stuff. I can deal with some of it and like it in small doses, but those two burrito places put enough of it in for me to notice the soapiness.

I know right! A beer and the fries are just GOAT combination. Going to McD's here is like going to a snazzy Williamsburg cafe but with fast food. In the Czech do they have the ordering stations? THey're modules on the walls where you electronically order your meal. It's the best thing ever.
