I can't believe someone out there still actually even HAS VHS tapes at this point in time.
I have a bunch of VHS old Oiler games from the 80's on ITV and playoff games like that Gretzky top shelf goal game on Vernon and Gretzkys last game in Edmonton( 1988 cup clinching game). I have the 1990 Cup clinching game on VHS. They still work lol

Anything of worth or interest, we had transferred to digital formal for posterity. I'm not an expert by any means, but I think the VHS content is subject to some degradation after a period of time, so it might be an idea for you to do the same.

I mean cool if they can, but not sure that's the animal I'm trying to resurrect at a ridiculous cost one would assume.
They need to resurrect this. I mean, who the hell is going to be the predator of the soon to be resurrected wooly mammoth?;)

never good when a co workers goes to me "your from Edmonton, right" and then shows me that
Stuff like this always makes me somewhat sad, but also gives me the shivers, when I think back to all the stupid stuff we did as kids, and then I think about my own kids.

That was the bunch of what I kept as well. Somehow though most of mine don't play now. Not sure what storage works best for VHS tapes but mine were pretty much all seized. Even loosening up the reels and spinning them manually wouldn't get them playing and with many the tapes even snapped.

You must have the perfect storage conditions or something. Had mine in the basement, in storage, cool room, dark. That should work, but didn't.

Mine have been sitting in a simple box in my basement and then garage for literally 15+ years. I should get them digitized or whatever you call it. They were given to me from a family member. I was only 5-8 years old during these games.

I watched them as teenager so many times I lost count. Can't believe how spoiled the older crowds was to see these games live. Mindboggling how many Grade A chances the Oilers would generate a game lol.

Not sure what the prices are to get that done but such places as JEET conversions used to charge very high prices for conversion.

edit: just found it.

yeah I'm not paying that. What people should do is any tapes they have converted just put em on youtube or somewhere as a share. ITV erased most of their tapes of 80's Oilers games. Such a shame to have that treasure lost.

I don't even know how that's all going to play out. Sounds like they've known for over a decade he was in the car, but he's always said he wasn't the trigger man.

Guess he's the only(according to him) living man left from the car.

I purged my VHS collection when DVD’s were released.
The only regrets I have are the tapes that I recorded Almusic, when weird Al took over much music for a couple days and some complete Oilers games from the 1993 thru 1995 seasons. Al Nagy & Dennis Beyak doing the play by play.
Those games maybe lost to time but at least YouTube has Almusic!!

I remember Jeet. They have been around forever. My father used them back in the early 90's lol. First name that popped into me head.

He always said his nephew pulled the trigger. The guy who got into a fist fight with Tupac in the lobby. Orlando Anderson. That guys dead too

I've used them a bunch of times, they do good work. Have always found promo coupons online, so price was always reasonable.

We were lucky we survived our childhood, lol. Made us stronger, I guess.

Better to resurrect something that could help to feed humanity. Something that produces a lot of meat with a good food conversion ratio.

They are resurrecting Mastadons / Wooly Mammoths and I guarantee you @Bobieque will have one of them bad boys on the grill in no time.
The only question I have is how much food do they need to grow? Most large animals need a ton of food. If they need more food to produce a lb. of meat than cattle, what's the point? Maybe they fart less?

I gotta see a show here. This looks insane.

If they taste good it’s all worth it. They can graze on my neighbors lawn. They never mow it anyway. Win win.
