What is causing the delays? Is it lack of material or labor or both?

There's parts delays but the main issue is a semi-conductor microchip shortage across all auto manufacturers. Ford is paying $1 million per month to store trucks at the Kentucky Derby while they wait for microchips. I've monitored it closely and trucks will be built and sent to a location to wait until they get enough chips. I've had ordered pushed back and forward. It makes it real tough to explain to a customer that we don't have an ETA on the vehicle they ordered late last year. Dealer trades are near impossible. A couple months back we had a dealer offer us $8k over invoice for our remaining F150 inventory. That seems like a smart move but it would hurt in the long run and we may lose several employees because of it. It's going to be a tough year for the 30 plus salesman we have!

Thank god. Oh and I put all my orders in vehicle visibility and it was 74, not 69 so your Bill and Ted's was not so excellent! I love that movie and will need to watch it with my 13 year old.

I've actually been reading the opposite and the chip shortage may go for a couple more years. The auto industry has to be feeling the effects...we haven't felt it yet. Yes we are really light on inventory but we are setting store records and are a top 100 Ford dealer (3,300 stores in the US) and #1 in our Region.

Cousins Maine Lobster truck is in town at the brewery. Lobster rolls! Good stuff. Not my favorite brewery though. There is one up the street that I prefer.

Haha. There's a guy here wearing the shirt from the better brewery.

So Portlandia is supposedly leaving Netflix June 9th. Better not. That and TPB are what are worth the subscription. Netflix's content is mediocre.
