the way i solo queue is to pick a hard support like cm, omni, wd, shadow shaman and just staple myself to the most competent teammate i have

it works almost every time

Good point, it's pretty hard to lose playing WD or Omni for myself.

i should play ranked more often. i am pretty sure my hidden mmr is a lot higher than my ranked mmr but i never really play ranked routinely.

everyone has a hidden mmr that is used for unranked and for your calibration matches. it can fluctuate more rapidly than your visible mmr in ranked after you calibrate.

the main thing with 1k is... if you are really that much better than your teammates, you should faceroll everyone else in the game regardless of what your team does. just make sure you pick heroes that can have big game impact (carries like huskar or supports like venge can be really good for this) and learn to be efficient with your farming. if you can get double or triple the last hits that your opponents are, especially in the laning phase, there really isnt much the other team can do unless you personally throw the game away.

I'm not either haha. My highest is a Black Mage at level 46.
A lot of people seem to be re-subbing lately.

1k mmr is a blackhole, there is no escape, only despair. 50% of the time my team is ulrta noobs. If you get good teammates the game crashes, or someone leaves, or other unexplainable phenomenons.

Once you are 1k, you are forever 1k.

Every game i was winning today someone dc'd on my team. The only game i played bad in was that shaman game cause it was cap draft and i cant play him well. Lost 6 out of 7games.

Trust me when i say this, 1k is a black hole

just get really good at last hitting and proceed to win 80% of your games just because you have 4 times as much farm and have most of your core items by 10 minutes

good number to shoot for is 50 cs at 10 minutes. most 5k+ players aim for 80 cs or higher by 10 minutes, so 5 last hits a minute should be doable

in that game of yours i spectated yesterday, if anyone had close to 50 cs at 10 minutes, they would have been unstoppable. everyone was very inefficient at farming and both of the safelanes were being ran all wrong. neither radiant or dire were pulling their easy camp to bring the creep equilibrium back under their tower for instance.

Think i might just create a new dota account and start at a higher mmr. Im really not worth 1k mmr(im the same lvl as you halle) and i die a little inside every time we are easily outpicked, my teams void going 0-10, losing 9 out of ten games, dc's, supports not buying wards and kill stealing, etc.

I have no problem csing, last game i (sf) had an mkb and shadow blade 25mins, we lost at 30 mins tho cause all of the things above.

level doesnt mean anything though

someone can create a new account, get to 13, and calibrate at 6k mmr if that is where they place

i should just coach you in one of your games so i can see if i can point anything out that might be helpful.
