OT: CF Montréal: Potato Edition

Just got done watching the match. Decent effort all told, especially in the second half, with quite a few close calls that could have turned it around for us, had they gone our way. It's the kind of performance I would have been fairly happy with in the first few weeks of the season. Too bad we had to waste a full month to get there ! Can we restart the season ? :dunno:

we need to acquire some french talent...if griezmann was smart and didnt love america so much, he;d realize Montreal is the place to be for him.

Why would he, or anyone else, come to Montreal? Because he's French and Montreal is a bilingual French speaking city? That's it? Even if he did come, Saputo is too bad of a businessman to capitalize on his coming here, just like he couldn't capitalize on Drogba or any of the other good players he had (Piatti, Di Vaio).

There isn't a single thing within this organization that is anywhere remotely considered adequate, let alone world class.

But ya. French people should come here because he speaks French and so do we because French is the most important thing in the world over everything else.

It's ok though. Captain Quebec in Sam Piette is here and we know in this province, he solves all of our problems.

It's much easier to integrate on an environment when you speak the language. Quite simple. French people love Montreal so it should definitely be an opportunity.

1 - Thank you for proving my point.

2 - Please tell me how a player who has lived in, and been part of, Spanish teams for roughly 20 years, prioritizes being comfortable in a French community more than an actually good soccer team or organization.

Well, yes, if they've been outside of France, they'll technically have more adaptability. But there's talent in Ligue 1/2 that could be targeted.

As you said though, it's a multifactorial decision. If it's a shit team that doesn't pay, they won't even look at the offers.
