That was to be expected, to at least some degree. The real test will be what's the next move for the league now. How do they use the Messi thing to grow the MLS as a brand ?

It hasn't been voted on yet AFAIK, so the owners might still block it.

Don't think we'll have MLS in Canada for much longer. It's for the best.

Van, Toronto and MTL should all work together to make the CPL the MLS of Canada (and even better in terms of functionality).

Chicago, DC and NE are already having problems right now. I can't see them keeping up. Detroit getting a team would probably seem unlikely.

Would Van, TO and Mtl agree to share their revenues with the CPL teams?
