lol. The customer is always right except when they are wrong in which case we have to let them down respectfully. There are times I fully agree with the customer and know the company could have done better but other times they are dead wrong and sometimes you have to tell them so.

The original quote is the customer is always right in matters of taste. We’ve dropped the clause at the end in a way to try and justify people acting like turds in public and to other humans.

15-20 feet of storm surge does not sound pleasant for anyone deciding to stay home while residing near the coastline. The only consolation is the area appearing to be less populated and further from shore compared to areas closer to Clearwater and towns north of it.

One issue though is that those areas while lower population density are populated by a lot of folks who are going to struggle to evacuate. Dixie and Taylor counties got Debbie earlier in the year and are still working on fixing things and this looks like it's going to push a lot of water inland. Cedar Key looks like they're going to be hammered again.

This could be devastating.

There was video of thousands of vehicles streaming out of Tampa today. Sensible move. I hope everyone at risk follows that example.

I see that at least one Florida city announced all their Waffle Houses are closed.

That's when you know its getting serious.

Yes, yes it is. Apalachee Bay is about where this is supposed to make landfall, though the eye is so f'ing big it could be over a couple of counties.

It’s a huge f***ing storm. We already have outer bands almost all the way up here already.

This far only two deaths reported but I doubt they have been in the deeper parts of the counties where it came ashore.

The building behind us has a full pine on it.

This one of those things like when people say "it's just a few bad apples" when the saying is "a few bad apples spoil the barrel."

Liability seems to rule the restaurant business these days. If I mention an allergy when making reservations or ordering take out the past 12 months, more often than not I get flat-out refused.

Merely sharing an observation in my area, but kind of curious if anyone else has had this experience.

There’s some restaurants here that will refuse substitutions, but they will do removals if someone has an allergy. Unless it’s like an Italian restaurant where they make a big pot of sauce then they won’t.

I've never ever done the waging thing with the online and the sports. And this isn't investment advice. But I worked my butt off gigging this summer so I did a thing, points over/under on the hockey team. I mean maybe they don't get to the playoffs but it just seems like duh, so my first one is in the books. Think this will be a one time deal. Thanks for listening.

Good luck. Either way hopefully you stick to your plan. Generally speaking it's for the best.
