Oshawa Generals 2024 25 Season Thread Part Ii

God Ryder Boulton such a cowardly p***y. I can't say that on the London board, I'll get banned.
Hunter put 2/3 of the 4th line out with a min+ left. Shwa wanted to send a message, then Hunter threw him out.
Asked Gibson to chat and rightfully Gibson wanted nothing to do with it.

Why the coward comment? Was at the game n may have missed something.
Hunter doesn't throw him on the ice if a couple Shwa players don't start with just under a min to go.
Edit....watched the TSN feed, doesn't show why Hunter put Bolton out.

There used to be a guy at Gens games with an Eric Boulton Gens jersey. So there’s at least one person in Oshawa who likes them
He actually has played and will continue to play an important role for the Knights. We have a couple of true star players that are not gifted with great size and as such teams like to “run” them. We can’t have guys like Bonk and Dickenson doing the heavy sledding for these smaller skilled guys as we need them on the ice for obvious reasons. There is still a place in today’s “softer” game for players like Boulton. We are not the only team with a player like him.
Good Luck tonite let’s hope for a great game from two very good teams. Clearly the best two teams the OHL has to offer.

The worst defense we have seen this year. Gibby has had a terrible game. Senneke needs to be scoring not leading the team in hits. They were due for a stinker I guess.

Too little too late from Oshawa. Can't show up to play hockey for only the last 10 mins and expect to win.

Oster gonna stop a puck? He's certainly your undoing and killing momentum without a timely save any time you have momentum. At least 2 tonight that should have been saved by a quality tender... 1st and 6th. Back breakers.

Oster gonna stop a puck?
Definitely not a great game from him. However I thought Games 1 & 2 he played fairly well? After the complete destruction in the OHL Final last season I’m a little surprised in clearly an “all in” year that the Generals put all their eggs in this kids basket? Is the youngster backing him up deserving of a shot between the pipes? Only thing in the OHL being from the Weat the average fan knows little about the other conference. Cheers Good Luck tonite I would suggest pretty much a “must win” if you want to have a legitimate shot at this thing. They need Oster at his best ….

Does anyone else notice how much the puck bounces on TCC's home ice and how often we fan on the puck more at home?

Does anyone know why this is the case, I know they have a freezer in the penalty box to keep the pucks frozen but it seems so bad been noticing it all season

I think Oshawa needs to play every game as a road game and tighten defensively, and they are not going to beat London if they want to run and gun with them. We noticed this last night.

I noticed in Game 3 a lot of odd bounces? Can’t comment as it’s the first game this year I have watched in Oshawa but assumed it was a typical warm building with a packed house in the middle of May?
One thing some opposing fans understate when playing the Knights is that the core of the team is now playing in its third OHL final in a row. The Generals have a “TON” of talent but the Knights skilled core unlike Oshawa (Barlow, Gibson as a few examples) have been together as rookies for 3+ full years now. Other than Elliott in goal and Cam Allen on the D this group are so familiar with each others habits and play style. I think it’s a huge part of a teams success and can’t be overlooked. Good Luck tonite let’s have a “barn burner” of a game!!

If the barn is burning those pucks are going to bounce a lot more!

I come in peace. Watching the game tonight and they were talking about the top NHL draft picks to come out of Oshawa and it made me sad that Tavares was not on the list. It's too bad he was drafted while playing for my Knights....I loved him as a Knight but he will forever be known as an Oshawa General.

Every f,ing bounce it’s unreal.
They've always been an opportunistic team. You can't cheat against them and it's imperative you play with a lead to make them chase, open up, and take chances of their own. Scoring the first 2-3 goals against London is the only way to beat them consistently. Been that way for years as they're way more organised than any other team year in year out.

Agreed you make your bounces. Was just observing. London is a great team. It’s a combination of their strength and Oshawa not playing with urgency. They can be a much better. Senneke has not had a good series.

Score 2-3 early is how you beat anyone. Knights aren't opportunistic they are dominant.
