Could potentially develop into a solid 3rd line player who skates well, is defensively responsible and competes. He just never did much with the chances he did get here and was usually the first man out of the lineup when a full roster was available. But he does skate well, he just needs to play more assertive and aggressive, be a bit harder on pucks and show more jam overall. I wouldn’t expect much in the way of offence, although you never know in a year or two.

Oshawa cracks the CHL top 10 (No.9) for the first time since the initial rankings before the season started where they were at No.8.

Will be nice to see how the chemistry builds after having a week of practice and have 3 tough games in a row this week.

I think this free agent signing of Powell is a great Addition.. reminds me of the Taveras days when oshawa traded for Patrick Asselin from Saginaw to play wing with John tavares and Brett Mclean. ASSELIN had 6 goals for Saginaw when he came over and then blasted 32 goals in Shwa after xmas.. he was Like the Rob Pearson pick up adding onto Eric Lindros and Mike Hoffman top line.. Good job Roger hunt and Mike Kelly oh and Ben eager who has trained him for last 3 years in the off season that talked and convinced him to come here..

Brantford holds the season lead against Oshawa this year with a record of 3-2 where as Oshawa is 2-2-1.

2 games this weekend in a home and home against each other for Oshawa to take over the season series. I expect Oster goes tonight and Gravelle plays tomorrow on the road to give Oster a break and rested for the big Windsor game Sunday

Interesting to see what a week of practice with the new line up does or doesn’t do lol.

Oshawa's Beckett Sennecke has been suspended for one game as a result of actions (Reviewed Minor, Interference resulting in injury) on Jan. 12th vs. Ottawa.
 
A fun little stat for anyone interested but since Brad Malone took over the Gens are:

7-3-1
+11 GF/GA (45-34)
86.6 PK (26-30)

It seems the new defensive strategy has definitely improved

Such BS. Nothing play and doesn’t happen of the refs call the slash. Once again OHL refs at its finest.
 
Bad game for Burchell and co. Wasn’t great for Oster either. He looked like he was all over the place tonight. Thought the Jiricek and Avery goals were pretty weak
 
BRANTFORD has a very good team 8 NHL draft picks. They were also missing Nick Lardis. I wouldn't wanna play them in playoffs they seem to have oshawa's number this year. I'm not sure the non call in overtime was a factor on the actual goal.. The Gens need to come out strong this afternoon down in brnatford..

There was a lot more than the non call in OT. Martin's penalty late in 3rd that gave Brantford the lead was a reputation call. If anyone should have been called it should have been the rantford player. The coach saw it that way too and left Martin on the ice after goal was scored.

What's your definition of "far away"? Ritchie was literally tracing the puck carrier and the closest to too him until he was taken out of the play for interference. Literally the two players involved were closest to the puck at the time of the infraction?

Ritchie tried to sell the play.. he went down pretty easily instead of focusing on getting his man covered. They didn't loose the game cause of that noncall, they lost because of poor man coverage all game... On to the next
