Heard Danford could be out a while. Don’t know what that timeline is but sucks for him Not sure on Griffin.

At first I heard it was a separated Shoulder but later found out it's a finger injury. If it's the latter, can't see a finger last more than a week or 2.

Griffin I thought was a hip based on reviewing the hit but I've since learned it's a knee, either one is not good generally.

Would be nice if someone at the arena tonight (im at work), who there's for pregame, can listen to the pregame interview with the coach that they play on the big screen. Usually will make brief reference to missing personnel.

Weird game. Probably the worst they have played this year. You could just see it from 5 minutes in. Oh well that’s hockey. Overall sloppy game.

I was also hoping for a comment on the injuries but nothing given.

Last 2 games against Brantford:

Even strength: 6-3 Gens
Special teams: 8-1 Brantford

Not sure what to make of that because obviously you don't want to be horrendous on special teams, but you'd rather be good at even strength than reliant on a crazy special teams game to win. The bright side I guess is if they clean up the special teams, they are outplaying them at even strength

Crazy stat. This team should be better at both. Believe this is where Hunt will improve the team. Nothing against Rogowski and Franssen but having rookies killing penalties come playoffs should not happen. I know Griffin did last year but….

I think you will se a very different/improved roster in the next 6-7 weeks. Then we will see how this team fairs. A good test will March 2nd at home against London. Barring any major injuries, you will get the best Oshawa has to offer against the best team in the league.

The game in London next week will be this same roster, possibly still without Danford and Griffin and it will be a big uphill battle for them.

Agreed. Hoping for a very large albeit rookie D man to be suited up. 🤞

Random Thoughts:
Luca D'Amato legacy game??

Gens continue to own Kingston, and more specifically Nolan Lalonde, this season.

I really do think the game changed when Ritchie threw that bad hit on Gage Heyes and nobody on Kingston stepped in and stood up for him. At minimum it's a chance to get to fight Ritchie (he would've had to after that hit) and you get one of the best players in the league off the ice for 7 minutes, but also showing you'll stand up for your guys. Yet they did nothing and KGN very soon after that fell apart. That's one of those little things that quickly becomes a big thing when you don't play the game the right way. On the other side, Burns with a shift where he keeps taking late slashes/hits on guys and O'Tool immediately jumps on the ice and the fight. Does he do it too often? Yes. But the intention is clear and helps form the identity of the team. Couldn't believe nobody on KGN stood up for Heyes, especially with Ritchie of all people throwing the hit.

Gens now just 1 point out of 1st in the conference, and have played 1 fewer game than Kingston.

How are a member of the Canada brass and watch that game, against the 1st place team in the conference, and not say yeah we definitely need Beckett Sennecke on the WJ team?

Keep refreshing your phones tomorrow Gens fans!
