I assume Oshawa will be sharing that information between the two and if it is in fact just a minor day to day injury then I would guess it shouldn’t impact anything

He was in a soft cast. Not a hard plaster one. So I assume likely a sprain or hairline fracture. Shouldn't impact the trade if that's the case.

With all the Barlow rumors going around would like to have him but I think the generals also need a Plunkett type of player hopefully some how OA defenceman Konner Smith can be aquired in the trade also.

Though I agree with a need for grit, Oshawa already has 4 OAs to deal with. Taking on a 5th will then leaving them trying to find homes for 2 of them. (1 if Roobroeck doesn't return)

Agree with you, but as Hush said, the ideal would be find that big, bruising Dman who’s not an OA. I know the Gens really wanted Bronson Ride last year at the deadline. Maybe he’d be an option

If Bedkowski doesn’t get traded for Barlow, Bedkowski should ask for a trade to some other team, if Gens not interested in keeping him. He could do so much better on any other team.

I don't think it's a matter of "not interested" in keeping him. It's just a way business goes. If you want a stud 19/20 year to go all in, you gotta give up some young promising assets in return.

Could absolutely see a bidding war between some teams that need a top 4 big brusing d man. Im sure both Brantford and Kingston would be in on him- you mentioned Oshawa as well. Erie could probably use a guy like that too as could Brampton.

I've wanted Oshawa to get Ride since last year. They lost out to North Bay and went and got Sandhu for much cheaper. I would be okay getting Ride as a defensive replacement of Bedkowski

That’s why they didn’t get him last year. NB overpaid so gens backed off

And for those wondering about the Gens OA picture, Luke Torrance will be given a letter every game in the announcement later today..

I'm not sure if he reinvented his game in NB, but no one in Niagara would consider B.Ride "bruising".

I wouldn't take anything from DeGray in that interview with any value. He also said Barlow just asked for a trade for the first time 2 days ago. Which everyone knows is not true
