Nobody yet, but they might not elevate anyone at all. Back in 2019 Yzerman hired Rezmierski AND Jesse Wallin as chief amateur scout's. Wallin is still around.

They drafted insanely well defencemen since those guys were hired.

It really felt like we are Nashville for a moment. Always finding new good defencemen. Rezmierski was 10 years at Nashville. Wallin came from the Blues. Both former organizations for those chief scouts have had this reputation of great defences and good overall defensive material at defence.

2019, Seider, Tuomisto, Johansson
2020, Wallinder, Sebrango, Viro
2021, Edvinsson, Buium, Plandowski
2022, another Johansson (Rezmierski gone already, but Håkan + Jesse Wallin still on the play)

But that Rezmierski era from 2019 to 2021 is hell of pack of defencemen.

And here's Rezmierski's Nasvhille D record (Just the hits):

2017: Farrence (Might still be a something)
2016: Girard, Fabbro
2015: Carrier
2013: Jones (That one was kind of easy)

With the way Anaheim's defense currently looks I can imagine them going the same draft route Detroit did in the last 4 drafts.

In 16-17, the Ducks had the following defensemen:
Fowler - 25 - In Anaheim. 9 points in 20 games.
Vatanen - 25 - In Switzerland
Lindholm - 22 - In Boston. 18 points in 20 games.
Manson - 24 - In Colorado. 4 points in 18 games.
Theodore - 21 - In Vegas. 14 points in 21 games.
Montour - 22 - In Floraida. 19 points in 18 games.

Oh no, we're gonna Britta our strength and conditioning. That's not a good thing.

I remember that Mullen guy was added on Holland era. Did join at 2016.

How is Alex Tanguay? Still not extended? I remember he was without a contract, but there's no news about an extension.

Amateur scout Mark Mullen has moved on, Stevie making room for Al Murray :sarcasm:. No other organizational changes during the summer, except Draper but that is common knowledge already.

Probably got fired for laughing at the Cleveland pick. Watch, they'll hire Helm as a scout so they can fill the holes with 4th line centers. LGD will also get a job as soon as he's done playing.

They really strengthening the goaltending Development and scouting on many areas.

Head of Goaltending Scouting & Development
- Phil Osaer

Red Wings goaltending coach
- Alex Westlund

Griffins goaltending coach
- Roope Koistinen (new hire at June 2023)

European goaltending scout
- Petr Jaros (CZE located)

Livonia-native Osaer is the "GM of goaltending department". Yzerman hired him at Tampa and brought him to Detroit.

Maciej Szwoch was our earlier goaltendning consultant/coach at Europe, but he seems to work nowadays only for Färjestad.

Think Jaros was a hire to replace Szwoch.

Promotion alert! Aaron Kahn has been promoted to Assistant GM. He was hired in 2021 as Director of Hockey Operations.

Full title now: Assistant General Manager & Director of Hockey Operations.
I wish us Wings fans got some more insight into this guy. He holds one of the highest roles in our hockey ops department, and we know very little about him, or what his duties are

I remember the first hire. There was so many people at same time, like half of the scouts etc. so he was just one of many names hired.

He partially replaced Ryan Martin who left to Rangers. Horcoff did took the AHL GM job.
