The lack of accountability you are showing towards the government is just sad.
They are 100% at fault for this.
Had they done their job properly. This wouldn’t be happening.
You can disagree and that’s fine. But it’s the truth.

I have family from the Military on both sides...

My Mother's Uncle lies most likely in a shallow unmarked grave somewhere just west of Falaise... most likely murdered by the 12th SS... him being a Lieutenant they were interogating and then disposing of officers summarily immediately after interrogation... witnesses saw him carried away stable... never seen again... preperation, sacrifice, volunterism, courage and valor were all hallmarks of Canada from Vimy Ridge to D-day, France, the Netherlands and to Berlin...

What are the Canadian "Patriots" here going to do to stop the Americans from acting out on Canada as a percieved threat...

During D-Day our Country was given a whole beachhead to secure and combined command level witch Crear...

What are you going to do Canadians... what... ?

Waiting for the truth in the face of the truth of the dereliction of our Politicians and citizens in upholding the truth and valor for humanity...

Our government is 100% at fault for Trump doing what he is doing? I'm interested to hear this explaination, if you're so inclined.

Just to add to the conversation far more illegal drugs enter Canada from the USA than goes the other way. So that part of the conversation is just plain stupid.

I don't know how you can not see it as war. It is not a military attack but it certainly is an economic one. It is even widely characterized as a "trade war". He is trying to force our government to take orders from him.

Are you just ignoring the threat of annexation? Part of how we got here is people continually thinking that Donald doesn't mean what he says. He can't mean it. It is just too outrageous. But he does mean what he says.
💯 agree Mort. We are at maximum threat in Canada.

which government…

i’ve been voting for quite a few and alive and reading newspapers and history books longer.

both the liberals and Conservatives have been operating under pretty much neoliberal strategies since Reagan, Mulroney and That her stood on the fronts of every newspaper in the world.

corporate taxes have gone down. Corporate margins and ceo earnings have skyrocketed
the wealth gap has increased.
education healthcare and childcare costs have spiralled
the tax burden is carried inequitably by the middle and lower class.
middle class debt has spiralled, while income has stagnated

and NEITHER THE LIBERALS OR YHE CONSERVATIVES IN MAJORITY…. or when mutually supporting each other in minority….have done a single thing to help farmers, workers, industry, teachers, nurses , and everyone else who doesn’t drive in a limo….

so which government are you talking about?

I think Trump just galvanized the country.

But I think our government needs to work on diversifying its trade portfolio.

Build out own refineries and start becoming energy self sufficient in petroleum like we are in electricity. Also start selling more overseas.
Never heard each of our premiers and the PM in lock step like this in my short time on this earth. Maybe i have a short memory, but this is unprecedented. They all know exactly what this is and how it needs to be dealt with.

Shame on anyone trying to put the blame on our country for this wannabe tyrant throwing the first stone

"100% at fault"? Surely you are joking. Look, I am not a fan how the current government has handled things in the last couple of years either. But to "100%" blame the Canadian government for a tariff imposed by the US president is bizarre. It wouldn't have mattered if it was Poilievre, Singh, Harper, Martin, Chretien who was the PM.
Its no wonder so many Americans believe this is justified. There are people from our own country thinking it is?

It's one thing for Americans to believe what Trump is doing is justifiable. But Canadians also believing this BS? That is borderline treason, IMO. They should be ashamed of themselves.

It turns out brain worms are a lot more common than I once thought!

As a classical liberal, free trading, free market, limited government, socially liberal, pro-civil rights, and respect for rule of law type of guy, I find I have absolutely nothing in common with Trump and the current Trumpist Republican party. In fact, I find I'm in total opposition.

We agree to disagree then....

Understood...

And no matter what the U.S. does it doesn't matter what I think or you think, we are in no position to do anything about it.

Thats my point.

It's too late, you have all f'd up. I never voted in any of these coil suckers.

And, no matter what you spout, we are just all along for the ride.

Go ahead. Make my day. Be a hero.

You are clearly your own hero. I just hope you can live up to your own unique expectations.

Not knowing who are responding too has just validated to me how important the ignore feature is. IMO we are Jets fans and we are Canadians. Those things matter. I have no intention of bowing down.

Most certainly I do.

Heroes are those that aren't here... hopefully they have died for a cause they believed in... like my Mother's Uncle...

I am no hero

'Bogo... I respect your hockey knowledge... as for other things...

Ignore away...

I have not used ignore on this site... never will...

The Ignore feature assures an echo chamber.
