I think this is a tough takeaway after everything we just witnessed.
I’m coming away from this game so f***ing proud of my favorite hockey team. Sure it wasn’t a great start, but that team just rallied their ass off after that whole benson situation. From the fourth line right up to Bednar himself that’s the type of shit that fires me up.
Avs just won their 6th game in a row and showed the most character they have all year. They held the Sabres to 11 shots after the first period. The stars all produced. Mackinnon won like 6 consecutive offensive zone faceoffs down the stretch. I don’t think any Avs fans should be coming away from this with feelings of disappointment.
