How many men has Kirk left on base this series? 10? And yet our idiot manger still had him batting 5th. Mind -bogglingly stupid.
The other 4 hitters are Clement, Heinemann, Straw, and Davis Schneider. Kirk is the obvious guy to be batting 5th and basically any manager would have him there.

It's his choice to never have a full lineup and always dress bench players.
Kirk always bat 5th no matter what.
Clement had an OPS 100 points lower heading into this game.
He's playing the players he's been given, and every manager ever is not going to bat rookie LH guys in Wagner and Roden in against a tough lefty, and will stack the RH bats they have.
The bullpen usage last night was a legitimate criticism but some of the stuff here is just nonsense.

Clement’s counting numbers are worse but it feels like he’s hit more balls hard than Kirk.

I really feel bad for the fans BUT I also feel bad for Dan Shulman. He really is a Jays fan and when he signed to do the broadcasting he truly believed this team would really compete at a much higher level. I feel bad for him too.

Kirk has an EV of 92.4 and a 52.2% hard-hit% and Clement has an EV of 82.5 and a 14.3% hard-hit%.
I'm a big Clement fan but his bat has been totally dead to start the season.

I've been saying this for 3 years now. Getting on base without running the base is useless. Jays actually gets on base a decent amount of time. But they don't steal bases and that's on the coach honestly. Bichette stole 25 bases in 2021. Gimenez stole 30 bases last year. Roden was stealing bases in minor. If you can't hit homeruns you got to be more aggressive on base with stolen bases, hit and run, run and hit, squeeze, ...
