Limited ABs as a weak side platoon.

A better question is if they pull that plug on Schneider now and get Clase up. It's not a great spot on the bench to be in as a younger player with potential as you won't be seeing a ton of playing time. However, Clase also brings the ability to pinch run more aggressively due to his speed.

They had very similar numbers in spring training and I think they wanted a RH bat as a pinch-hitting option.

But yeah, it can't be long before he's sent to Buffalo to bring up Barger. He looks totally lost at the plate and this is just a continuation of looking lost at the plate for the last 4 months of last season.

Davis Schneider, 0 for 31 dating back to last year. Looking lost at the plate. Only person more lost is our idiot manager who cost us the past 2 games. The idiot is probably going to leave Francis in for 8 innings regardless the score because the “numbers” say so. Listen to his moronic statements about the pitching changes last night. Blames the pitchers coming in and not getting the job done. Cold night but his starter was masterful. Two nights ago replaces Fluharty for a rested Gausman after getting 14 outs straight. I guess that was Fluhartys fault as well.

It's only been 13 PA this year, but man has he ever looked awful in those PA.

After the way last year ended, I would have liked to see him in Buffalo to start the year. He absolutely earned a spot with his spring performance, but a good spring can only buy you so much time.

If you want the best bat available, bring up Barger. If you want the best right-handed bat, bring up Orelvis. If you're comfortable with Roden/Wagner getting more starts against lefties (and they probably should be), bring up Clase or Berroa. Schneider is offering nothing right now.

I'm not going to overly panic given it's only 10 games into the season, but the lack of power is starting to concern me a tad.

There's not really a good way to spin the fact, especially in today's game that this team has only hit 5 home runs in 10 games. None of which coming from the guys you would expect to hit them.

I'm sure something will give soon enough but not really a reassuring showing for people who've been watching this team the last couple seasons.

Last year i went into the season on a fire Schneider watch and put the over under around May 15th. I’ll be shocked if they do anything this year.
