Hate hate hate this bullpen usage tonight. It was setting up perfectly for Bassitt to hand it off to Garcia for the 8th and Hoffman for the 9th. Bassitt was still dominating, but I guess a two out single is just too much to give up. Ugh.

And it's not like Soto was coming up for the Mets. Baty looked awful in 2 ABs vs Bassitt. He should've stayed in there.

Yeah, if the #9 hitter singles and you have Lindor-Soto coming up … fair enough. But with the 7-8-9 guys coming up, it was a silly premature pull that totally mucked up the bullpen sequencing after that.
